there's absolutely no chance of further backwards compatability in the future systems, is there?
I mean this shit just keeps getting more complex, the only reason Nintendo can do it is because installing the Wii hardware into their new platform probably costs them less then the USB ports that go along side it.
I think you will see BC in Xbox Loop.At worst for digitally purchased stuff(software BC just like 360),but then again XBLA games are developed using full Xbox SDK--if it works for XBLA,it will work for retail games
few reasons
-people that didn't own 360 get a huge library at day one
-people that want to upgrade will be pleased--more people upgrading or buying 360 games(if they plan to upgrade in the future)
-MS doesn't allow devs to code to the metal(unlike PS3)
-MS owns CPU,GPU IP unlike in case of the first Xbox
Don Mattrick will go on a stage and say:"We are pleased to announce that everything you bought for your 360 will be playable on Xbox Loop for free...big smile"
My plan is to wait until Read Dead Redemption 2,GTA 6,Saints Row 4,Halo 5,Crysis 3,Fallout 4,Elder Scrolls 6,Mass Effect 4 etc is out .If some new super IP comes out--that is good too.RDR 2 would make me

--if the quality is on RDR level(or better)
One rule only,game
has to be out-the more the better, not buying some stupid potential
