Nearest police station from there was 20+ miles away. I wasn't going to stick around especially considering that gun had the serial filed off.

In the self-defence aspect where they went after you, yes.

Otherwise, my obligation is not to be the judge, jury and executioner. Being an officer means that you arrest them and then sit in front of the fucking slimebag of a human being who would do such a thing to a child, and you pretend to be his friend and empathize with him to get him to talk about what he did in order to secure the case. I haven't been put in such a torturous position, but I would hope that if I was, I would be up to the task.

I'd imagine the whole "hiding/burying bodies" thing would make police doubt the self defense story, at least initially. If they were to find some DNA evidence linking Thor to the case it's not like he'd have any witnesses to confirm his story. The 14yo runaway might not even be alive anymore, and if she is she might be impossible to find. But then again, maybe there would be DNA evidence of her on the rapists.

I didn't feel like standing around all day answering questions. You try passing up a nice-ass stag grip K-frame smith & wesson for 50 bucks. The serials on those guns are under the grip. Didn't even know it til I got home from buying it. The law don't take any of that into account however.

I will say this to end the thread, the look on that girl's face when she saw her parent's house made me realize I did the right thing.
