Hey, more options for me.

And stop being a grandpa already.

no.  sorry, fell for this horse shit once, not falling for it again.  enjoy the magic of novelty over efficiency.  tell the nintards i said to burn in hell.
I'm not falling for anything but if I ain't gonna use my Kinect (which is still boxed) with ME3, I ain't gonna use it ever.

XBLA is soooo 2006. Join Kinect.

Whoever is in charge of XBLA is still doing a good job. There are tons of great games this year and it's the only thing saving the 360 from being as shitty as the Wii.

Most of the Kinect stuff shown today seemed interesting on a tech level, but impractical in terms of a gaming session. No one is going to be flailing their arms around to steer a horse for long periods of time. Or shout out commands to computer controlled team members in ME3.

Seriously.  What do they have?  Gears, Halo, Fable, and Forza.  Add Kinect support and set to repeat.

Remember when MS at least tried to start new IPs?  Some might have been complete shit, but at least they were trying.

they don't really need to create new IPs this late in the generation, that shit's for Xbox720

they already have total 3rd party support for the actual gamer crowd, all they need to do right now is ride the novelty wave for the next couple of years until the new console launch

borys - kinect couldn't do skyward sword because you would have no way to move link, that's why you need an analog stick to move link around

alas there is no game proving the contrary, even the star wars game looks scripted when it comes to movement

glad i went to bed during the turgid start - moaned about it before but MS are busy wiping their arse on the last X years of good will.

I'm pretty much in the mind set now that only Sony "get" it and even then they only "get" it once every so often and still managed to some how fuck up the execution

And by IT i mean  "What is a fucking 'regular' video game?"

Graphically or?

It's missing the most important part of the game, so they shouldn't have even bothered making it, to be honest.

I will say this, though. There's hope for Halo 4 now that those no-talent hacks at Bungie aren't involved. But please, get a real writer to craft the narrative this time. It doesn't have to be a world beater or anything, but let it develop into something more than "lolz, doomsday cult."

I played Halo CE on PC and enjoyed the story immensely. Never bothered to play Halo 2, but enjoyed both Eric Nylund's first two books in that world. Then I played HALO 3 and there is not enough double-you-tee-eff in the world for how hackneyed that whole thing was.

I'm sure next year will see more core titles but The kinect launch and the past months have been really barren. They have to use the year to build a library for that system.

Yeah I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with Kinect but the way it's being used just doesn't really do anything for me. If developers used it with some subtlety it could be alright (the way they're using it in Forza looks OK) but things like that Ryse and Star Wars look like social leperosy in a way not even Nintendo could manage.
