And then there's........SMT.

SMT as a whole has the best battle themes ever but DDS2 out did it by a mile.

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, fucking amazing battle songs.

um Skies of Arcadia had awesome ones too, that's it, the other RPGs suck a dick

By the way if you have winamp with the "Highly Experimental" (its just a name, its very stable)
plugin you can play these PS1/PS2 games soundtracks and they are the original cd rips and VERY small file sizes:

Mother 3 Battle Themes at the moment simply because you can do combos according to the beat of the battle themes.

This one is pretty cool, although the guy mixed all the different parts where he pulled combos off. The slow and fast parts in the video is self done through editing (i'm assuming..unless he's just skilled like that playing it on the emulator)

I like "Fight Against Koopa" from Mario RPG Soundtrack where you fight him in the beginning. The arrangement was done by Yoko Shimomura.

That is the first time I've seen a Mother 3 battle... is that how they all are? You attack with music? Wtf? That's distinguished mentally-challenged.

No demi, if you attack during the beat of the music, you can do combos. Also yes some weapons are instruments.

How this is relevant to this thread or makes the songs themselves better I'm not sure.
