I was thinking the same thing.

But since it's on Xbox, you can go ahead and rip the Indiana Jones soundtrack to your HDD or stream it from your PC, problem solved.

I've played it only for a bit but I like it. It reminds me of an old school arcade game. Its full of frustrating bullshit but that's kinda the point.

the difficulty of this game is insane. You'll have to be pretty leet to get all the cheevs in this one. So fucking addictive, though. This is a masterpiece I'm pretty sure.

I beat your score Robo btw  ;)

haha nice.

yeah tell me about it, they are so often in spots where you have to climb them and its REALLY difficult to avoid getting spiked. It helps to get the sticky bombs to blow them up, I'm always wasting heaps of bombs trying to get those assholes.

I had a run last night where I had like 7 health and 10 bombs, 10 ropes and was on level 2-4 and kicking ass. Then I choked on a piss easy jump and impaled myself on some spikes. Arghghghghg

god tier game. Been reading some forums and man it sounds like theres some crazy secrets and stuff. I'd like to get good enough to get all the achievements but this is some hardcore gaming.

Co-op is great, me and quietID played a bunch last night. Fucking stressful though, you have to really communicate to avoid collateral damage. It's so easy to fuck up your teammates.

back on top :pimp got 103k, ranked like 600 and something on the leaderboards. Still a bullshit score, I want to get at least 500k as theres an achievement for that.

This is one of the best games ever, played for 8 hours today like it was nothing  :-\ Made a bit of progress, unlocked all the shortcuts, and managed to unlock the 'Casanova' achievement (save 10 Damsels in one game), was quite tough

I'm just practicing the Temple (world 4) now. It's pretty brutal

I tried the demo and it seemed alright, but I don't like randomly generated stuff (especially for a platformer). I might get it once it goes on sale tho, or if I get really bored.

protip: don't pick up climbing gloves if you want to take on the boss. Sticking to walls is not your friend. Got an OK score this run though, 171k. Ranked 269th now. This is one of the only games ever where I have had a desire to climb the leaderboards.

was trying to open up the ice cave shortcut and accidentally made it to the boss. seems easy, even though I died. temple is real fun, gonna try to take the golden key from the mines tomorrow. hopefully it's not totally maddening like I imagine it will be.

Fucking holy shit, I was speedrunning and made it the boss, and died as I killed him. Time was 5:40. That would have put in the top 20 on the leaderboard and netted me a rare achivement  :(

I hate Olmec so much

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU

killed Olmec, then as I was heading to the exit door was killed by a jumping scorpion. Time was 7:40. I was HOWLING with rage.

I'm going to get this speedrun achievement if it kills me. Been trying for the last 6 hours or so.

What sort of things are you trying to pick up during your speedrun?  Bomb boxes, jet pack. . . ?

the 8 minute time limit is tight so you have to move fast all the time.

Basically if you see item boxes/damsels/ treasure thats not too far a detour, you pick it up. Basically the essential items are a compass, shitloads of bombs and a couple of ropes. Jetpacks and capes are nice to have but not necessary. I would say the compass is the most important. It is the only way to safely traverse the ice caves quickly, and combined with lots of bombs makes the temple MUCH easier. So yeah it's actually an idea to scum the mines until you get a compass and decent supply of bombs.

Did 200 or so attempted speedruns this evening, of those I made it to the boss in time about 6 times, then choked on the boss at some point. I think what i really need to do is just jump on the temple shortcut and make sure I get more consistent at defeating him. It's just that the 'fast' method of beating him is so damn fickle.

Man speedunning for 8 hours straight has turned my brain to putty. Time to lie down. I'm pretty good at Spelunky now tohugh! Maybe I'll give the speedrun a rest for awhile and work on some other tasks, like the city of gold quest and finding hell

I have spent 12+ hours over the past few days trying for the Speedlunky achievement (beat the game in under 8 minutes starting from the beginning)

I have gotten up to, and choked on the boss about ten times as he falls in the lava. I am literally in tears. This is so fucking unfair

They released some DLC.

New multiplayer arenas - worthless. Multiplayer is pretty silly and completely random.

New characters - just skins with no effect on gameplay but some pretty cool new ones. Theres a Skyrim looking viking motherfucker in a thong loincloth. 8 for 160 MSP. I bought them as I had the points sitting there.

Okay time to punish myself and resume trying to 400/400 the game. My friends who post here will let you guys know if I kill myself.
