Does she exist?

She does exist, I talked to her. Or the woman chained in Bz's basement.

We should get her to register an account on bore. At least its more liberal than NeoGaf here.

As for why I'd get her something like the vita, ladies deserve nice things. She just so happens to love a lot of the games coming out for the vita. Sadly it wasn't out today or else I would have gotten one for her. When you've been with someone for nearly 10 years money means nothing. The only thing that matters is their happiness. By the way when are you two gonna do some more coop so I can get off the hook? :P

My .02 memory card from amazon arrived today as well as minna no golf for vita.

system launches where you have the games a week in advance are awful. just got hot shots in (wip3out tomorrow) and am getting PS2 flashbacks. couldn't bring myself to splurge on the crummy FEB. I'd rather use the extra $100 on a memory card.

at least it's fucking mardi gras weekend, so I don't see myself pining too much.

Third party games are also now up on the Vita PSN Store.  Wipeout 2048 also got a patch, with one of the features being reduced load times!

The full game list is currently:

-Asphalt Injection
-BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend
-Dungeon Hunter Alliance
-FIFA Soccer
-FIFA Soccer (Spanish)
-Escape Plan
-F1 2011
-Hot Shots Golf WI
-Little Deviants
-Lumines Electric Symphony
-Modnation Racers
-Rayman Origins
-Super Stardust Delta
-Ultimate MvC3
-Uncharted Golden Abyss
-Virtua Tennis 4
-Wipeout 2048

Unless I'm missing something, no DLC is available.

Off to play Lumines!

Was bummed to find out that BlazBlu EXTEND doesn't really have story modes for everyone.  It's just a recap story mode for CT/CS that covers 1 route and you only play as 3 characters (Ragna/Jin/Noel) and then there's story modes for the 3 DLC characters + 1 new character.  So everyone other than those 7 characters has no story stuff in Extend.

I'm still going to get it because I like having 1 fighter for a new portable and with that d-pad it should play and look amazing.  But bummed that when I want to play as most of the characters there will just be arcade mode and no story mode to go through.  The story modes in their games are my favorite part for single player playing.

Going to get Escape Plan & SSD Delta off PSN.  Might get Lumines off PSN because it's getting REALLY good reviews everywhere.

Oh and my system shipped.  Should have it tomorrow night.

yeah, was gonna try and be content with HSG and WO, but think imma have to splurge for lumines and probably stardust. will try and hold off for fifa, uncharted, katamari, rayman, etc for a while. seriously decent launch lineup...trying to space it out so they don't just sit in a backlog (new year's resolution!).

That does kinda suck, but lol stories in fighting games, etc. etc.  BlazBlue looks and plays absolutely fantastic on the Vita.  Looks exactly like the console versions.  UMvC3 does not, but is still extremely impressive and will likely have a better online community.  I also just got prompted to update the game...Heroes And Heralds is now available!

Add me Bebpo...I use lyteedge2 for my U.S. account.

Nope.  Brings a whole new meaning to early adopters getting screwed.  They're even getting screwed from day 1!

Sony knows people are weak, so they make the worst and most expensive bundle the only one that releases a week ahead.  It's very gross manipulation and pure greed.  I expect to see WiiU FIRST EDITION BUNDLE WITH TECH DEMO BONUS.

For some reason Vita games and demos are hidden if you browse on PS3.  You have to type out and search for them specifically.

Rayman Origins, Michael Jackson, some gameloft trash, Lumines, and other games have demos.  Some of the demos download the entire game and purchasing is just for the unlock code, meaning each demo is bordering on a gig.  Apparently someone goofed and the Michael Jackson demo is the full game or something.

also, not all companies are doing the 10% off for digital games thing.  According to gaf EA's games are the same price as retail.

Got my Vita.  It's fucking sexy as expected.  I'm totally fine with the analogs, no problems aiming in Uncharted.  I guess I've just be raised on shitty controls with all the PSP/DS/3DS games.

Uncharted's real problem is actually not even the sub-HD it's the goddamn framerate.  Straight from the start I'm running around and it's like 20fps all the time, 480p upscaled pixalated.  Wtf man.  Bend is better than this.  You didn't HAVE to use the PS3 models and textures.  :|  Hope it improves or I get used to it.

Wipeout is fucking sick sick sick sick sick.  Only did the first stage on Empire Climb and it's like OH MY GOD I HAVE NOT SEEN A 100% ORIGINAL WIPEOUT TRACK WITH VISUALS LIKE THIS EVER BEFORE.  MIND BLOWWWN.  Then I basically lap all the other guys at a slow pace and go "can't wait for a few more difficulty notches!"   :lol

That's all I have at work.  When I get home tonight will check out Tales, Hot Shots, and probably buy a bunch of stuff off PSN to mess around with.

PSN US (will be using for US games with online or DLC): bebpo2
PSN JP: (will be using for everything else): bebpojp or bebpo.  Need to check which is it is when I'm home.

I mentioned this in the GAF thread but not being able to turn off the auto-sleep or at least set it to something like 60 mins is one of those silly decisions they don't think about (beyond making people think the battery life is better) that will bite them in the ass when Final Fantasy XX or MGS5 comes out on it and halfway through a cutscene the system shuts down.

Also is there no way to see an actual number % on battery life left.

I hate new system launches.  I keep wanting to buy games because I want to try every new experience on the system.  It's not bad when the launch is like 6-7 games, but Vita has like 12 decent->good launch titles.  :|  Can't afford to buy all of them!

Need willpower to hold off on Shinobido 2, Gravity Daze import, Virtua Tennis 4, UMvC3, Lumines, Rayman, Disgaea 3, Mortal Kombat.

/probably will buy at least a couple of those by the end of the weekend :(  System is just so sexy!  I actually love the interface.  Feels really slick with notifications and background apps and it's very fast.  Just wish it wasn't so touch based.  EVERYTHING is touch based in this system and I hate leaving fingerprints.  Time to invest in Vita gloves.

Oh and they don't even sell a strap for the Vita in America, wtf is up with that?  Straps save portable lives!  No way I'm playing this system while moving around without one.  Will use a phone strap or something for now.

Unless the device was engineered by monkeys, there should be an easy way for devs to override auto-sleep, where it basically doesn't set itself in idle mode.

You can deactivate all your devices once every 6 months from the Sony Entertainment Network portal, iirc. I remember the option existing on Qriocity's website, but maybe they spread it to less distinguished mentally-challenged-sounding locations ever since.

It's pretty rad how you can pause your game in the middle of a race, back out to desktop and look at your downloads, go into the playstation store and do some shopping, check out your trophies, and then jump back into the game.  This feels so next level compared to the 3DS and PSP.

This system is so cool.  I haven't had this much fun just tinkering around with a system in a while and every game is really impressing me.  Uncharted is pretty sweet, even if just being the first handheld third person adventure game with a 2nd analog.  Moving the camera and just looking around at the scenery like I do on console games BUT ON A HANDHELD is gamer changer for virtual photography guy in me.  Plus I love the addition of PHOTO MODE where you just look around and take pictures.  Neat stuff.

I do hope that eventually the system takes off in Japan because the hardware is really incredible.  The OS, the visuals, the GIANT AMAZING SCREEN, the comfortable feel and great controls, BEING ABLE TO DIRECTLY TOUCH THE GAME SCREEN instead of having to use a virtual mouse on a lower screen to touch a top screen that is not touchable.  The multi-tasking, friendslists, trophies, storefront, near, etc... it's all just totally cool and slick.  The launch lineup is GREAT.  Between all the launch games I want to play there's easily 150 hours of gaming in here and I'll never get through it all.

But I'd like to see it take over so eventually we get big hitters on it because oh my god will they look gorgeous and control freakishly well and have amazing features.

Need a Zero no Kiseki Full Voice Edition & YsIV Remake release date!

Also very tempted to get SRWZ2-2 in April on Vita.  I hate digital gaming, but seeing that 2d beauty on this screen instead of the PSP one is something I really need to consider.

When you buy MotorStorm RC you will be able to play it on PS3 and PS Vita at no additional cost.
When you buy Hustle Kings and/or Top Darts for PS Vita, you will get the PS3 versions for free. If you already own these games on PS3, you’ll be able to download the PS Vita version for free.
If you purchase WipEout 2048 and you already own WipEout HD and the HD Fury DLC on PS3, you will be able to download them for free when they launch on PS Vita later this spring.
DLC purchased for the PS3 version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can be used on the PS Vita version for free (and vice versa)."

Didn't get a chance to play around with my Vita much because I had a phone call that was all night and gotta sleep early since I have a mediation at work tomorrow first thing.  But hopefully tomorrow after work I will dive into VITA GAMING for the night  :hyper

oh nice, I didn't see the musou demo last time.  I'm interested in it but the touch screen gimmicks look DS circa 2004/5 bad.

I have a lot of demos downloaded (my PS3 dash is a complete mess) so I don't gotta bother next week.

The only other launch game I might pick up is Ninja Gaiden, barring negative impressions.  Right now it's Shinobido 2, then Unit 13, and Gravity Daze.  I don't know what's coming out in April.

After much fucking about with maximuscards' support, I got a couple of codes from them. They seem to be very wary about people flipping codes though, so they refused a couple of orders from me after that. I guess I'll try again in a few days. I am currently $1 short of enough to buy Rayman tho :lol

Still, the system restore was painless and it's very nice to know that any game I download will be in English....

Playing around with NEAR and it's so fucking cool.  It's like that thing on 3DS but not useless!  It's crazy seeing that there are GAMERS who live within 2.5 miles of me.  Many of them!  This is frightening as I thought I was the only person in my town who played videogames.  Also neat to see some people playing imports.  Was looking to see if any of them were gaffers but I don't recognize the PSN names.

It's still pretty cool in theory that you can see someone down the street from you is playing Blazblu, send them a msg, and then play a game together and add them to your friends list and then start talking about how you live 3 mins away and you should meet up and stuff.  Although that's probably how people disappear.  Still, in theory it's pretty neat.

Also I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they added a steam-style community feed that tells you what your friends have been up to so you see what trophies they've achieved, who they've added to friendslists, etc... I enjoy reading my community feed on steam and keeping up with my gaming friends.

And again, the fact that this is a real multi-tasking system and I can be running multiple programs at once and switch back and forth between them is just SO COOL.  I love all the ram they put into this thing and dedicated to the interface.  Sure it will hurt games, but considering how just the launch titles look and run I'm sure there's enough horsepower in here for them already.

Only thing I don't like is the region account thing.  I'm just going to leave it on my JP account I guess and not play Wipeout or Hot Shots online and not play Super Stardust or Escape Plan anytime soon (I have a million other Vita things to play first anyhow).  I'm not really a big online gamer so I'd rather be on my master PS3 account with all my friends and trophies all the time.
