I don't know, it's hard to compare it to something since I just realized that every Album offers almost a different type of experience. Most of the time it's a pretty straight forward platformer with good controls, except you can stick to stuff. Every album introduces different sounds, assets, mechanics, and themes that can be utilized differently. They're pretty fun, but they're more concerned with inspiring you with ideas, much like LBP's campaigns.

Beside some similar color palette, it's very very different from Eden, which I disliked by the way. They're not even in the same ballpark beside being able to stick to some objects.

I'm taking my time with the campaign since I heard it's kind of short and I'm really loving it. But man, the second Superbrothers level when the music rises is so good.

I heard there's a bit of replayability value to game, something about "Beat School" and "Death Mode" coming after completing the main campaign.

PS the faster loading times, more stable frame-rate, and DS3 are making me enjoy this more on the PS3. lulz Vita.

"more stable frame-rate"? I haven't encountered any slowdowns. And DS3 d-pad is jank compared to glorious Vita.

Having played some levels on the PS3 first, then on Vita I noticed a few instances when it dipped. Usually in busy level when you pick up coins. It's not game breaking at all, but it pulled me out.

As for movement, due to how you have to rotate directional controls in order to rotate around objects and corners, instead of limiting it to left/right, I found myself going back to analogs. And just like any sane person, I prefer the DS3 analogs.

Death mode killed my hands. I beat about 7 of the levels then got stuck on one for about 30 mins and have up

It's challenging but no way as good as the campaign

Haven't tried it yet. It's using the level editor to do challenges I think. Ign review said it was pretty easy for him, although he can play music. I'm probably going to suck at it.

Wario64 already platinumed it, so many it's not that bad

There are sections that control better with the analog sticks than the d-pad. PS3 analogs are better so I can see how wanting to get the fastest times would benefit from that. I just prefer playing platformers on handhelds.

Sony will shift focus to PS Mobile.

That's targeting the market devs and pubs are now interested in - or at least that they're interested in without incentive from a given platform holder.

Vita's future as a device is probably going to be heavily defined by PS Mobile, as a 'iPod Touch' style device.

Vita's future as a platform is probably going to be defined as a little bit of premium icing on top of the Mobile ecosystem - a few 'big' or semi-big releases a year ala CoD or Assassin's Creed.

Just my two cents. Some dramatic developments might change things, but I think it's unlikely. Sony just isn't as desperate to prop up the dedicated handheld market as, say, Nintendo. They'll let it slip if the wider interest - among devs, among consumers - is elsewhere.

(That's not to say they will 'Dreamcast' the Vita - they won't pull it off the market or anything of the sort. But it's purpose and position for Sony will be different than it might have been if it had succeeded as a premium handheld gaming platform. They can massage it in a different direction that saves face.)

I started off with the tutorial, but am having a hard time with even the simplest combos. The character doesn't seem to react to each button press. It took about 5 minutes of trying for a simple punch punch punch combo to register correctly

Drinkbox Studios will be attending this year's PAX Prime festivities in Seattle at the end of this month, and while it's there the developer will be showing off one of the benefits of Guacamelee's PlayStation 3/Vita exclusivity.

"We're integrating the Vita as a PS3 controller for Guacamelee, utilizing the Vita screen for a mini-map, and hopefully more," Drinkbox's Chris McQuinn told Joystiq. "Does this sound like a next-gen console you've heard of perhaps? As far as we know, we're the first game doing this."

PAX Prime attendees, however, won't need a transmedia map on a $250 handheld to find Guacamelee on the show floor: Juicebox will be setting up shop inside the Indie Megabooth, which will be discernible from other, mainstream booths due to its abundance of pixel art and stylish, easily accessible development teams.

Nope- The Game Cube did it with the GBA and several titles years ago.

And you can also use the Vita as a controller for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (both versions required).

use the content manager app on the vita.

you should be able to link the vita to a ps3 or pc and transfer via one of them (aka backup data to PS3/PC,  turn off vita, change cards, restore data from PC/PS3 to new card)

Apparently the transfer process is slow as hell though and sync your trophies before doing this

Holy shit, graphically that COD game looks way worse than Resistance Retribution (which I thought was...okay for what it was). They can't mean 4-player local wi-fi.  Without online, why even fucking bother? Looks like a giant turd all around, expect to see it downported (obviously not by much) to 3DS shortly. That Killzone game looks like it has 10x the production value already.

I know the sales figures of the Vita in a large UK retailer so far this year.

Without stating any specific details, more copies of Sin and Punishment 2 were sold nationwide since March than the Vita. Also, more PS2s and PSPs.

Its pretty fucking dire.
Dat Sony brand power. Vita is completely dead, anyone with any sense would sell theirs now whilst it still has some value. It's a shame it wasn't the 3DS in its place though.

It looks much better than Resistance did.  The 4v4 is what's disappointing.  No way it won't have online either.  I'll gladly take it over Resistance, but they're crazy if they think the game will be a big hit.

Killzone looks really good...but it's Killzone.

Sony should've offered up Zipper as CoD's development studio instead of greenlighting Unit 13 and shuttering them 2 weeks after it launched. Zipper may have been a sketchy studio in terms of quality but I imagine everyone would rather them than Nihilistic.

watching this stuff

Interested in Tearaway but who knows if all that "using the vita" baloney might be problematic.  Blowing always sucked hard on the DS.  Undecided on the back touch stuff.  Sound shapes editor was really the first time that it seemed neat.

Killzone.  I don't get why the score pops up in the center of the screen, or the touch screen melee, but otherwise it looks good.  It might have stealth?

Call of Duty looks bad.  I think that gameloft cod ripoff on my iphone looks better.  Ain't just talking about the graphics.

Waiting to hear how Assassin's Creed is but the little they've shown looks cool.  There's a whip and wrestling gators.

Sly 4 has Weeeoooo features between the two versions or something?

and hopefully the bad sales didn't dissuade any hackers from turning the Vita into the new best portable emulation machine.

AssCreed Liberation looks fantastic.

So that's Liberation, Persona 4, SFxTK, Ragnarok Odyssey, and BLOPS that I will get for the Vita this year and Killzone and PSO2 next year.  Still better than what interests me on the upcoming 3DS release list (which at this point is just NSMB2 and Code Of Princess), but definitely slim pickings and mostly ports.   :-\

Never thought I'd be placing Treyarch in this side of the equation, but Nihilistic aren't fit to shine Treyarch's shoes, so I wouldn't use the Wii versions as a sign of hope here.  I'll be surprised if this sells as well as n-space's DS CoDs, even.

 :'( :-\

I don't think it's a port of BLOPS 1

AFAIK it's using Black Ops 1 maps with new spec ops missions, plus new maps.

New Sly Cooper looks pretty sweet:

Looks better than the new Ratchet too:

Unfortunately Sly was pushed into 2013 :( Apparently SCE did it not because the game wasn't going to make it, but rather due to strategy. On the flip side both are part of the Cross-Buy stuff to get the Vita version for free (via PSN) when you buy PS3 copy.
