Konami PR surprisingly does not suck, unlike the rest of the company. I got Silent Hill: Book of Memories, and New Little King's Story for free in a contest but they were UK codes. I don't use a UK PSN account (cause I don't live in the UK) so I emailed Konami US PR to tell them to send back my old codes to Konami UK since I couldn't use them, and couldn't contact Konami UK anymore. A US PR person then gave me North American codes. Coolio.

I don't think it's worth their time to try to deactivate them. If you need a guinea pig then I'm willing to try the New Little King's Story code, for pure scientific reasons.

Haha, well I was thinking Konami UK would just give them to someone else. It was a random Twitter code dump where replying to them would get you the codes via DM. I'll send you NLKS in a PM.

Might get Persona 4 used/cheaper at some point.  I've been playing 3 Portable lately and it's reminding of everything I hate about 4-- too many cutscenes, too upbeat, worse music, teddy, worse story.

Keyword: Limited, duder. I'm sure only 10 of those are going to be opened by legit Vita owners and enjoyed while the rest are going to go on eBay to try to price-gouge people that want it.

I just hope the themes come with a PSN purchase next week, I don't give a damn about the sticker covering the front, I just want the theme/backgrounds and games to enjoy.

You can now use the web app without having to quit out of a game.  That'll be super useful for looking up Persona stuff, actually.  I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't use it while in game.

but we really need folders.  I have a feeling they consider each screen you flick to a "folder."

Uncharted is really a card game at heart.  Taking cover just = playing a cover card to counter opponents' shooting which = casting shooting cards.

it's just covered up by the real time control mechanics.

I think Sony Bend's involvement with the card game was just hooking up the ties to Golden Abyss. The job posting they released last week for a new Vita project isn't this, lol. A studio called One Loop seems to be handling the development of the card game.

I'm not quite sure why this is a Vita game though, seems like some smartphone jank. Might as well put it up on PlayStation Mobile or something.

Sony need some titles for the Vita if they aren't going to abandon the system completely and pull it off the shelves. A simple card game is cheap to develop.

You guys know this was already on the disc/cart right?

Back in the old Uncharted Vita thread, someone glitched the game and it took him to a set of Uncharted cards.  Everyone was like WTF WEIRDEST GLITCH/EASTER EGG EVER.  But apparently there was supposed to be a card mini-game in UA at some point.  Looks like it got pulled and turned to DLC.

The $199 Black Friday bundles are pretty good, well unless you get the CoD one I guess, lol. You get a game (AC: Liberation, LEGO Batman, or CoD Blops: Declassified) the WiFi unit, and a 4GB memory card.

As for MGA not being on PSN, I get the suspicion that Kojima doesn't care for the games he didn't direct. Twin Snakes, Ghost Babel, and Portable Ops have all been ignored.

Yep, it's a big shame. I'd stop using the PSP sandbox "hack"/exploit if they allowed them. Same for the first Phantasy Star Portable. What's funny is that PSP1/2 were on the PSN store and then got pulled by Sega for mysterious reasons.

Those were put up prior to Peace Walker's release, and the fact that PO is a "canon" entry means they couldn't just toss it aside entirely. However, I really can't come up with a reason for why neither Ac!d games are on PSN anywhere in the world.

so, should there be a new Vita thread to replace this? this thread is pretty big, and old posts reek of hope.

The Next Great Firmware Upgrade For The Playstation Vita is coming out today or tomorrow.  From what I understand it's mostly for when Plus stuff comes to Vita.  The other change is the web browser that is improved to run concurrent with games; I never used it before but I'm guessing it just quit the game to open the browser?

Yeah, it told you that it needed to quit the game to run the browser. You could get around this by clicking a link in the Twitter app, but now that it's native it's all good.

Anyways, the update is now live. There's been a bunch of improvements, including the ability to take a screenshot and not have that "Please Wait" notice!

Cloud saving doesn't work with some retail games.  Shinobido 2 and Mortal Kombat are locked; Gravity Daze transfers fine.  Weird since even locked games like Demon/Dark Souls transfer on PS3 when they normally don't to a USB stick.

PS1 emulator got a big update.  Everything is customizable now.  All controls, front and back touch, and screen size (including custom option where you pinch to zoom and can drag it around; probably only useful for games like Castlevania SotN with its black bars).

oh, and hey, they finally tell you that holding down on the touch screen brings up the PS1/PSP game settings  :lol

I'll probably get one of the $200 bundles. I think the Vita will eventually end up as popular as the PSP in Japan. Good for import gamers, not so good for people who like their games in English.

Jet Set Radio looks like native res without any anti-aliasing.  Some bad pop in and the frame rate drops early on, but it's still portable JSR :rock

I don't know if there's a mandate from Sony to include touch gimmicks.  Game has the option to move the camera with the reacharound pad ( ???) and graffiti using gestures on the front screen.

welp, officially got more games on my vita than I can handle.  A vita backlog-- it's a real thing!

i'm only 30 hours or so into P3P, so by the time I'm done, 4 will be cheap.  By the time I feel like another 80 hour RPG about teenagers but even sunnier and with more fanservicey anime j-pop style, it'll be $9.99.

Mutant Blobs
Unit 13
Fifa 12
Lumines
Retro City Rampage
Gravity Rush
Pure Chess
Velocity
Canabalt
AC3
NFS Most Wanted
SFxTekken
Corpse Party
Tactics Ogre
Call of Duty Declass
Persona 4
Sine Mora
Jet Set Radio
Alien Breed
30 Second Shooter
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Resistance Burning Skies
Sound Shapes

What a shitty console with no games :(

Nearly one year old and the line up is great. It's a shame no one has any taste anymore. :/

between a mix of japanese/US games, plus PSP and PS1 games along with the other archive stuff, i can easily fill my four 32 gig cards. Easily.

It's a shame the whole mem card and price fiasco has shagged the Vita a fair bit and, of course, Sony have mismanaged things along the way - it could be doing so much better but - hell - nice machine, lots of fun for us guys who don't get the time to play at home anymore.

I've had a backlog since launch!   :lol  There are still a few games I've barely touched.  We're getting close to a year now since the Japanese Vita launch.  I currently own 23 games for it (bought 24 total) and can't complain!

-Hot Shots Golf World Invitational
-Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
-Uncharted Golden Abyss
-Shinobido 2
-Wipeout 2048
-BlazBlue Continuum Shift II Extend
-Hatsune Miku Projec Diva f
-Mortal Kombat
-Lumines Electronic Symphony
-Dynasty Warriors Next
-Little Big Planet Vita
-Ridge Racer
-Gravity Rush
-Street Fighter X Tekken
-Assassin's Creed III Liberation
-CoD Black Ops Declassified
-Persona 4 Golden
-Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
-Ragnarok Odyssey
-Retro City Rampage
-Jet Set Radio
-Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
-Resistance (currently deleted)

Yeah, people can rip on the shitty sales, but I always LOL when they say the system has no games.  I still need to get Virtua Tennis.  Will probably skip Need For Speed and get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed if it's a good port...the 360 version is the best arcade racer this gen, IMO.
