Got my Vita in the mail yesterday.
The Vita is slick as hell, design wise. The only problem I have with it is that the buttons should have been a little larger. Formatted my 32 GB card, got my PSN account set up (did not enter in the PS+ codes yet), played about half an hour of Lumines Electric Symphony (not a bad game but for some reason, none of the sequels ever managed to best the original in terms of music and presentation), and browsed the PS Store. The PS Store to me was amazing to me in terms of content that is available for the Vita. A lot of PSP games I missed, several PS One games I never got around to playing are out there, and many of them are at somewhat decent prices. I could see myself spending the majority of my Vita time playing these games because it isn't like there's shitloads of Vita content out there to keep me busy amirite?
I'm kind of joking about that because looking at the software that is available, there's a lot more on Vita that is worth buying than the 3DS at the moment, in spite of the fact that the Vita barely sold anything. I do want to get some more games with this thing (got Hot Shots Golf and Lumines) but not for much ($25 at most). However, some of the games like Disgaea 3 might end up going out of print and go for $80 rather than $20 brand new so I might have to bite on some of the games that might go that way. Also it seems like it integrates the touchscreen quite a bit. I didn't get a screen cover for it but I may have to.
Overall I think I will spend a lot of time on this thing. A shame that Sony will most likely drop it here in the next several months but if they keep the PS Store open (or let us keep the software we do purchase on it), I should get my money's worth out of it.
