Sony started off PS+ for Vita strong, but I think you'll be disappointed to expect it to continue being that strong with new additions. The platform's library is too young, and small to start giving things away months after release. The new 3G bundle that advertises Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and WipEout 2048 imply those three will be sticking to the Instant Game Collection for a while. I'd expect a lot of PSP games.

LBP probably will be free eventually since Sony makes money off of that even at free due to the insane amounts of DLC costumes and jank.

Oh fuck off.
No seriously (not actually you, just the idea). This is what puts me off wanting to dive into Sony again; its fucking ludicrous delusional and idiotic fans.

Sony are cunts who frankly talk down to their audience more than any of the big three. Making assumptions about them and frankly putting off what I consider a rather repulsive look at the Playstation brand and personality which I don't think holds up because I think they portray the quality titles in a way that they twist them. See the cheers at E3 and all that bollocky shit.

Microsoft are cunts who pulled support of their system half way through a gen and have never moved to offer anything of actual value with Live despite the fact the competition now can do mostly the same set ups. They don't value their loyalist customers, instead taking advantage of the fact that they'

Nintendo are cunts who like to twist and turn instead of telling everyone the direction their going on. They have some screwed up frustrating unfriendly practices. People think some of their decisions are incompetence, its not its usually just them being arseholes. See the Digital Download set up. They have the infrastructure, they decided to be cunts about it.

They all have their positives. Each and everyone one of them.
But Sony fans need to stop this 'Sony loves us' bullshit. Its nearing cult personality at times and just looks sad.

The saddest fact is when your cheering and proclaiming things that their saying to you, everyone else is watching and seeing just how much Sony is talking down to you and just 'how' they look at their userbase. All of Jack's stuff at E3 was him talking down to the fans, MS were being dicks and Nintendo were more talking down to the press. Sony? Just talks down to their little loyal seals for claps. Its very sad and pathetic.

Really frustrates me this stuff. All of them care in their little ways, Nintendo wants to make people laugh, Microsoft wants to offer as seamless an experience as possible and Sony want to do whatever the hell it is Sony likes to do.

All I know is they all have some pretty damn good games.

I probably like corporate Nintendo cause I like some of the silly stuff they do, its not them talking to anyone - they are enjoying the silly joke of walking out with a Pikmin in their pocket or looking at a bunch of fruit. They seem to aim to enjoy their job.

However they only care about me as much as I am a paying customer. They make the games and they sell it. Their a company. Sony is a company. Microsoft is a company. I am a customer and I respond to things I like.

Stop. Sony don't see you as special, your not. Their just like the other three.
This complex seems to be down to the PS2 to PS3 come down, Sony don't love you. Their just another company and another bunch of people trying to get through the working day.

Okay? Cool. Cause I don't think I can stand following PS4 content if its going to be this stuff :/ I just hate seeing people so...blindless...its like 'can't you see they want you to react?'.

They want you to think they care, that their 'with you' and not talking down to you.
Everyone else can see this is the ultimate 'talking down to'. The other companies do it too, Reggie is bad for it and MS can be annoying too. But we all see that, we don't cheer it.

The first sentence had me, I will admit.

LBP Vita's actually really good. There's still floaty shit but I get the feeling Sony won't be able to toss that out until PS4. Level designs are great, as are the visuals, and music.

Sony Smash Bros is ... okay. The game's very pretty on Vita, and runs at 60fps on both platforms. Mechanically it's sound as well, it's just damn the game feels cheap. The "story" mode is nonsensical, short, uses still frames instead of cutscenes, has no build up for the final boss or any sense of progression while playing. Outside of that the menus feel like something that should've been used for an internal demo and not the final release. They're just really dull, and don't give off a good first impression. But for a game like this, the presentation issues could be ignored if the fanservice comes in with strides. Unfortunately this game fails at that. The roster is what it is and as such has some glaring omissions. I realize Sony was at the mercy of third parties, but ultimately a mascot crossover can go two ways, you either dig up the most obscure shit you can find, or you grab the heavy hitters. Given this wasn't a $20 PSN game I suspect the plan was the latter, but with no Final Fantasy, or Crash Bandicoot they clearly failed at that. Instead we have a hodgepodge of characters that feel like a marketing gimmick. Bioshock isn't an IP anyone associates with PlayStation, DmC isn't even out, and while Metal Gear is PlayStation why Raiden, and not Snake? Even with the obvious marketing focus the game doesn't do all it could with the IPs given to them. There's a "bio" section but it's more of a summary of the character itself rather than the franchise they're from, and that seems like a missed opportunity. Given some franchises are only represented via weapons or stages, to anyone who doesn't know what they are the game doesn't even try to tell them. Suffice to say I'm happy I got the game for free.

Way too many words about videogames in individual posts on this page.

We're at the point now where people are preempting someone else's hypothetical claim that a new thread isn't thread-worthy. It's the point of madness.

By replying claiming that a thread isn't thread-worthy (or any insane meta versions of this) you are stifling new thread creation, derailing what threads do get posted, and further encouraging people to make ridiculous, bloated, all-encompassing megathreads for every possible subject just to avoid the whiners.

This is over.

Do not whine about a thread not being thread-worthy, or that you saw it on Reddit, or that someone else is about to whine about it not being thread-worthy, or anything along those lines. If something is not up to your standards, just don't reply, and it will fall off the first page within a few seconds, as it is supposed to.

The constant meta-discussions need to end. Address subjects and arguments, and participate straightforwardly or don't at all. Your commentary on someone's posting habits isn't welcome. Your commentary about someone being banned in the thread or some previous unrelated thread isn't welcome. I don't want to enter a social issues thread and see half of the replies be commentary about when a particular poster is going to show up.

Create new threads, and discuss things. Put in a little bit of effort, not a bare youtube link, but don't make a damned Official Thread just because you wrote a paragraph. In fact, how about you don't make any |OT|s at all. If your thread sucks we'll lock it. It's as simple at that. Let the moderators do their job.

Got Little Big Planet for $20 and played for it for a little bit.  I never played one of these games before so this would be new.  It's ok, reminds me a lot of Sony Smash Bros. where it isn't really good but it isn't really bad either.  It's just kind of there.  I'm wondering if the level creation scene takes off in this game so I can play some good levels.

On another note, I preordered Sonic Kart for the Vita for $30 on Amazon.  Apparently it is out on the 18th.

I've been playing more Hot Shots Golf and man, my putting game is shit.  Lots of opportunities for birdies and eagles but I can never make the putts if they're more than 10 feet away from the hole.

Little Big Planet for the Vita is the only LBP I've actually enjoyed and I'm not even sure why exactly.  Still feels as floaty as ever and it's not as if the levels are any more creative but for some reason it just seems to work as a handheld game.  Looks brilliant to boot.

I bought Virtue's Last Reward today out of sheer boredom and only got out of the first room.  I never played 999 before and not an anime fan but hopefully this will be good.  The premise sounds interesting at least.

LOLZ.  Sometimes it appears dead and you have to refresh several times (in Endless).  Set the search to all regions and PS3/Vita play, not just Vita play.  There's always games going.  Things may also pick up a bit when the big 2013 patch is released next month.

remote play on the vita is surprisingly decent.  looked nice and it was playable without much lag.  although, the only game I tried is shadow of the colossus and that's not the most responsive game to test.

when I tried it before on my PSP or Vita, with bionic commando or ps1 games, it was awful.  very bad image quality and barely controllable.  if it's a new method or whatever, it's a big improvement.

it's not as good as the wii u in terms of latency, or convenience, since you need to relaunch applications in remote play, but it ain't bad.

Hacked PS3s can stream all sorts of games.

Officially, only Ico/SotC and the God of War Collection (1&2) work with the newer method.  I think Tokyo Jungle works in Japan but they haven't updated it for America yet.

Got Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed yesterday.  It's an awesome version of the game.  A few framerate hiccups here and there, but otherwise, visual downgrade aside, it's exactly the same as the PS3/360 versions.  Didn't try online yet.

Also finally ordered Virtua Tennis 4.  That's going to bring my Vita game count up to 26 for the first year.  Crazy.

Since actually getting to use one thats how it looks mostly, as they are not so snuggly in the grips but still in the general area of not fucking with the back touch too much.

I did the same with my PSP so there was no adjusting or anything like that.

the hori grip really helps with the back touchpad shenanigans.  It creates a space, so you sort of reach in a bit to use it.
