People on SA are saying that you can put anything for that last digit, and it'll accept entries where the serial is the same but the last digit is different.  Obviously no way to tell yet but people are speculating that you can just register the same system a bunch of times and get the rewards for that.

Yeah, use that at your own risk.

Now,some gaming news form Polish mag PSX Extreme

Quote
- Engine is nearly 1:1 from PS3 version
- They added a few new gimmicks to the engine, so they can utilize more PS Vita...lol
- Game is gorgeous, clear and crispy textures, big draw distances
- Character models are awesome, the same with animation
- Stable FPS even with gigantic action inside levels
- Literally - game is like portable Killzone 3, looking better than Uncharted.

Will post real scans if they pop-up somewhere

Hope the multiplayer is good.

I never played Killzone 3.  Did they improve anything from KZ2?  I thought it sucked, but that was before they patched the controls.

No, it's inferior to KZ2 but still perfectly enjoyable. The online multiplayer is a bit faster and chaotic which is supposed to appeal to Call of Duty players. If you don't like how it controls then you're probably better off playing some other shooter.

I'm talking about the major input lag problems that KZ2 first had.  It took them several patches to get it working right IIRC but by then the damage had been done.

It was never a problem for me. I'm aware a lot of people complained about the issue but once you get used to it, it just feels like your character has some weight to him. Running around in body armor is hell so I can definitely relate.

Hopefully after NG3 they won't make a complete mess of this one. It's still 30FPS right? lame.

i don't know how anyone was expecting the more graphically demanding entry in the series to have a better frame rate than the first one.  The question is whether it'll be as solid as the first one.

Ninja Race looks awesome.  Reminds me of timed battles from NG1.  I hope there's an option to take off "enhancements" from costumes + gear.  There are costumes I'd wear in NGS1+ that I can't because they have some dumb increased offense, decreased defense stats.  Nice to have the gore back, though I hope they also found a way to put a lot more enemies on screen than the PS3 version of NGS2.

Konami "seriously considered" releasing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate on PS Vita, but decided to keep the side-scrolling adventure a 3DS exclusive.

Why?

Well, it's all down to the Vita's pesky two-dimensional screen.

Quote
"The Vita could have run the game no problem, and we did seriously consider it as a [target] platform," the game's producer, Dave Cox, told Pocket Gamer.

"But when we saw the game on 3DS and how it looked with the 3D, it made us realise we could never replicate that on another system."

"I'm not knocking the Vita," Cox stated, "but if we were to develop a game on that console, we would really focus on the Vita's core strengths. The Vita game would be very different from a version for 3DS."

I don't get it either.  While back someone posted this video of the demo to get an idea of what it's like:

I skimmed through it and it looks fine for the type of game it is, I guess.  Nothing is too striking about it.  Reminds me of the zombiu reaction.  Or even Kid Icarus and Gravity Daze, two games I really enjoyed.  "Artificial and forced" sounds about right.

It's kind of weird - it's not -really- that much like Monster Hunter all in all outside of the, um, monsters. No exploration, no real on-field item combination, more focused on take down times and mastering the various options you have.

It's different enough to make it interesting, it's similar enough to possibly get a few MHers to look at it. But Monster Hunter popularity/sales does NOT feature as part of this games future.

I like Muramasa enough that I'll get it again.  I only played as Kisuke when I played it on Wii so I'll play at least once through with Momohime.

Tried the Sly Cooper Thieves In Time demo.  Is this also on PS3?  I'd like to see how it compares.  I know the Vita version goes at 30FPS and PS3 version is at 60FPS, but the Vita version pretty much just looks like a PS2 game and I'm wondering if a lot of detail was removed...or if they just wanted it to look this simple.

I only just started Sly 1 on the HD Collection a few days ago.  TiT plays pretty much the same when you're Sly.  Satisfying platforming/sneaking segments (although a bit too easy in this demo) with a stealth kill or too.  Fine.  I also liked playing as Bentley.  But I dunno about that big hippo.  His game segment was mostly just a slow, dull, all-too-easy beat-em-up style game against waves of the same single enemy character.  Snoozer.  Is this how Sly 2 and Sly 3 were too?

as i recall, the main complaints were that nobody liked Murray, and that people generally preferred the more focused stage-based design of the original.  i liked sly 2 quite a lot, but i couldn't get into 3, so i guess the formula was good just once for me.

Murray :yuck

I can see myself playing through the original, but I don't know about completing both 2 and 3 then.  Certainly doesn't seem like a collection of games to play one after the other right away.

So what were the main complaints about Sly 2 and 3 then?  Pretty much just "Sonic and his shitty friends" syndrome?

Sly 1 had linear platforming levels with some stealth trappings.  You mostly played as Sly, with a few mini-games here or there.

Sly 2 was open world where you completed various objectives with three characters (and the many mini-games between them).  I replayed a few months ago (HD version) and didn't like it as much as when I originally played it.  Too many objectives are "Do X number of X," that twin stick Bentley mini-game ain't fun, and Murray's boring brawling segments.  Still fun but there's too much fat.

Sly 3 was further in that direction.  More friends, more mini-game, and so on.

According to people, Sly 4 dials it back to Sly 2 levels, with more linear Sly platforming.  Demo doesn't convey that.

Everything I've seen from the PS3 Sly 4 leads me to think they're just using the Sly 2/3 engine in HD.

And yeah, that sounds pretty much exactly like Sly 2/3.

It looks markedly better than Sly 3 HD, and somehow the image quality is much cleaner than HD ports of PS2 games.  But yeah, it doesn't look nearly as good as the Ratchet PS3 games.

So I'm looking at the PS store on my Vita and Ninja Gaiden Sigma + is still at full price.  Anyone know when we'll be able to download it for free?

should be up already.  you can try purchasing it on the webstore, then downloading it from your vita's download list.

- Uses same game engine as Killzone3
- Story takes place after the first Killzone and covers various events from the whole series.
- A total of 9 single player mission, roughly 1 hour each.
- each mission is replayable with new challenges and objectives
- Multiplayer mode with 6 maps, 8 players at once and 3 different game modes, including Warzone.
- As a mercenary, actions in single and multiplayer will net you cash you can spend on weapons and upgrades.
- Uses touch screen for some actions (like melee), also gyro controls for aiming (I suppose optional)
- Release date should be in September 2013
