Is Gravity Rush good? The demo really didnt hammer anything home, but it was probably the best demo I tried.

Runner up would be Escape Plan, but the controls eventually got to me (having to pinch the screen was stupid as fukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk)

Sound Shapes is pretty neat in that FRESH INDIE way. Reminded me of some flash web game tho.

I didnt try Uncharted cause I gots to play some Uncharted.

All the other demos I tried (I didnt bother with Hot Shots, Lumines, etc. -- I know how these play) were doodoo or gave me wicked PSP flashbacks. As in, "gee, this looks like a PSP game. Ok."

A lot of Vita games really use the controls against you. Even that freebie Montezuma Revenge. It has me rub the back of my screen, while using the frot screen to move gems. How the fuck?

If you thought the Gravity Rush demo was "alright," it's more of the same. I felt it got REALLY repetitive but it was an alright-ish game. I'm not clamoring for a sequel like most of the people that played it are.

Edit: I should mention it's a pretty easy platinum/1000gs if you're an achievement whore. Outside of like one or two side-mission/challenges, anyway. But they're do-able.

lumines and rayman 13 bux each if you're plus. may snag rayman just to see what all the fuss is about. lumines is great (even if I never play it), and should have a permanent home on any memory card.

Lumines seems pretty bare for modes.

I really like Sound Shapes, it's like a relaxing Super Meat Boy somehow.

I liked Lumines and Rayman, but then again I only paid £6 for them and I had really low expectations.

Gravity Rush is worth playing, but I quit after maybe 5 hours because I found a section a bit frustrating. It's not the killer app it was hyped up to be.

Is Sound Shapes cross-buy? I haven't decided if I want it for PS3 or PSV.

I took out the Vita on Monday to download the freebie games. Being the impatient ass that I am, I downloaded Wild Arms then didn't feel like spending a few more minutes to download the rest of the games. I turned it on today to find out that the sale is over. Fuck me. :fbm

Yes, Gamegear-tan is the main character of mk2. They all have little sisters, except for Xbox onee-sama, so lonely. They could have at least given her Zune. :(

maybe people said this before release?  I thought people picked up on its mediocrity closer to launch.   Game needed a bunch of more time in the oven, but Vita needed a game.

People (or just me) don't want a sequel because gravity daze is a really great game.  It's more that they (I) feel it has heaps of potential that's not realized in the first game, and a great style to it.

having said that, I enjoyed the game but it does get repetitive and the missions/levels are totally dull.  It's like they didn't know how to make a great game around the gravity shifting mechanic.  The game is most fun when you're flying around in the open world collecting orbs.

Little King's Story is supposed to have some framerate issues. I haven't played it myself.

• Escape Plan is a pretty good puzzle game with a nice art style.
• Pure Chess is a great chess game although some multiplayer features might be missing if you're an competitive player.
• Super Stardust Delta is not as good as the PS3 version, but still totally worth playing.
• Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is an excellent little platformer and also cheap.

You also have two good pinball games mentioned above.

When I mean PSN only, I guess I mean stuff that's ONLY on Vita and ONLY digital.

If I can get a PS3 version (Sly 4, All-Stars) or a physical cart -- I dont particularly care.

BTW, how does that work? I wouldnt mind snagging some free Vita games.

IIRC its done from the PS3 game itself (through some button on the menu) where it will do a check and then send over the vita version.

Nailed basically how I feel on it and why I don't think a sequel will really fix these issues.

Though I enjoyed the combat far more than the exploring. If the Gravity Shifting was unlimited and done like a puzzle or something like the "Dusty gets sick" stuff did, I'd of enjoyed it far more.

I said it was "alright" because I wasnt actually turned off enough to immediately delete the demo like everything else. Also it was one of the only games to not have crap Vita controls. The demo just didn't really showcase anything. It was the tutorial or something.

Eh, I can't really say if you'd enjoy it 100%, Demi. But I do think it's worth playing if you can get it for free and have some time to waste. You may/may not totally enjoy it but hell: It's free.

Interesting, so maybe I can swipe some Redbox's and try to find a PS3 copy that hasnt been used.

Right, and with All-stars it's probably likely you can do that since no one wanted it.  :lol

You'll get it whenever (if ever?) it releases. Plus you get a bonus if you redeem the voucher right now or whatever. Like Tools of Destruction or whatever. But I think that promo/bonus ended.

I think it's the first title to use that PS3 "downgrader"/polygon remover for the sake of performance. From all the off-screen videos that have been shown while it was in development, it looks to be optimized/60FPS more than the Ninja Gaiden ports. But I can't say until the demo is released next week. I'm hoping it's a good port as I'm in the mood for a 3D fighter on the system.

how is the doa5 portdown

There was a shit-quality video of it being played last night on Nico Nico, but I missed it.  People said it looked great and was running at 60 FPS, with some missing background detail.

Tecmo is putting out a huge demo of the game next week that will offer four playable characters, multiple modes (including cross-play online against PS3 users), and even some unlockable content that will carry over to the game.  That's awesome, but I wish they had actually released the demo this week so people could get a feel for it instead of right when the game comes out.  But I guess this means they're confident in the port.

-60 FPS!  I tried one match online- the other player had the shittiest connection level showing and it still ran buttery smooth...better than the console versions do!
-Not sure.  It looks very sharp but I can't confirm it.  I can post some screenshots if that helps.
-YES!
-Apparently you can transfer over your PS3 save data (and DLC outfits) but I don't see an option for it...assuming an update on Tuesday will add this.  All of the characters, including Alpha-152, are also already unlocked!
