I'd this how it breaks down then: Sony are heavily investing in indies,

Because maybe from all the indies they hope to gain a big share of the gamers who just just love gaming. Sony have basically become the cool kid. And it's been a long uphill battle, for the Brits, who eventually won.

MS are back alley government pimps. Yes the hitting of your stomach against the drunken sex-workers lindor coloured buttocks is exquisite, as is the discharge of carefree abandon into the factory made latex sperm receptacle....
How does it make you feel?

Nintendo and the newly outed as a paedophile Rolf Harris will merge, like a transforming robot, and molest children in a surreal sense, by only releasing creepy pop singles about repressed sexual molestings.

Gamers don't love gaming if they aren't into indies?

Space Giraffe is absolute genius and the discover of how it works is all part of the journey - but, yes, it failed in part because people couldn't seperate the fact it looks like Tempest from the fact it plays very little like Tempest #datbulling, and of course people largely can't be arsed to figure games like SG out. When you eventually click that you are playing almost entirely from sound queues it's a :O moment.

Sony targetting indies gives them two small sproutlets - iOS devs porting over to a machine that can have touch controls -and/or- actual controls (given the choice of the same game on both devices as long as the prices are roughly comparable then that's a fairly big thing) and the PC indie sceen. Whether it makes that much of a difference remains to be seen, but i for one am all over Tempest and Hotline Miami for a start.

I'll have to give it another try, it flew over my head too.   I can't get Hotline Miami Vita fast enough.   Partially cause playing it on a full size screen fucks with my eyes.  Really wish you could turn off the "glowing" effect.

i find it depressing that Minter's stuff is barely selling - he blogged recently about being close to The End, didn't he? So this Sony thing must be a real lifeline if they are suddenly discussing all these new projects.

The iCade gives all his iOS stuff a new lease of life btw...Gridrunner is particularly fuckawesome

Are there any plans for Sony to release non-black Vitas?  I've been trying to find the Asscreed White Vita but it seems that Sony stopped making it.  Only places that have it are trying to sell it for $300+.

Maybe they'll announce something at E3?  Apart from that, Asscreed overpriced bundles or import systems, which will probably cost more anyway.

I was planning on speed running i.e. not pick a lot, but even regular enemies pack a punch. So I focused on purchasing stamina and heart upgrades early on (right after the stun upgrade for 5000). Other than that I only went after the ones that easier to find, as in tucked exactly behind a colored door. I ignored everything time consuming.

Are you having trouble?

I'm not cumming over it cause I'm not the biggest MonHun fan, but I am interested enough for day 1 (particularly since JP voices are a preorder bonus pffft)

i think MonHun fans like it a lot.  from what i've read, it's a pretty huge game, content wise.

I'm not normally one for this type of game (Monster Hunter = ZZZZZZzzzz), but what I tried of the Japanese demo seemed pretty fun.  It cuts out a lot of the bullshit and just goes right to the battles, plus your character is more agile and responsive.

Would rather have PSO2 though.  Even without any kind of offline play.

I tested the Euro version of Vice City Stories on the Vita nearer to launch without any issues.  Something might've changed since then, though.

Cool. The demo has pretty much done its job. I just hope the grinding is at least rather more rewarding in the main game, and the Cerberus has a huge hp pool, am still getting whipped by the harpy, which is annoying enough, due in part to a slightly janky camera position when fleeing.
The plot feels flimsy, and the Italian opera'ish music is lovely.
Online also works really well, you still get stuff even if you sacrifice, which is nice.

Supposed to be streetpass. But because all 8 Vita owners don't live within a 5 mile radius of each other it never works.  :'(

I just want them to fix it so my PSN list is able to "near" each other. Would make getting the Fetishes in Uncharted much faster.

I just booted up my Vita. Apparently, there are 33 people playing nearby. If I open the Near app and click on the gift icon to the bottom left, I can see six new discoveries (from the games Ragnarok Odyssey, Modnation Racers: Road Trip, Smart As, Touch My Katamari, and Super Stardust Delta). From there I can simply download them by clicking on the download arrows.

They've updated the interface since I last used the app, but the features seem to be identical.
