meh.   This isn't Colonial Marines-gate, it's just a guy who is tastelessly (and hilariously, imo) exploiting poe's law, knowing how much talk it'll generate.

Yeah, annoying. The port itself is pretty fine. They even added an easier input option like the PSP version. Something Blazblue didn't have in the move from CS to Exceed from the PSP to Vita.

Seems adding that removed online play?  ::)

$15 is too much for such an old game that lacks a must-needed feature.  I just can't get over Arc being so shady about it.

That video and pic showing it was shady as fuck but its still just me being surprised it was lower than a I thought (even without online play).

Hey now the web store can finally queue your downloads to your PS3 and/or Vita so we don't need to touch that POS PS3 version of the store ever again.

thinking about buying Spelunker Collection from the Japanese store? Don't... just keep on walking.

When i saw the M2 splash i had high hopes given how insanely awesome their recent treatments of Sega games on 3DS have been, but then i also see Tozai's name....

The emulation (unless my memory is off) for the FC version - which is used for 3 of the 6 games - is so badly off that it's confusing as to what the hell went on. The speed varies and the music is garbled. Perhaps the FC game -is- like that and i need to go back and check it out on hardware but i certainly don't think it had speed issues.

800 yen at the moment - as i say - keeeeep on walking.

I really enjoyed it on steam but its an average, slow paced puzzle platformer with some excellent narration. You either like something like that or you don't. I want to pick it up on Vita soon to listen to the developer commentary

I found Thomas Was Alone very disappointing. It's basically another boring indie game + quirky narrator (is this a genre yet?)

Core platforming was kind of finicky and physicsy.

I played a fair amount of it on steam with the kid - it's exactly right for a 5yr old in terms of difficulty. Not exactly something i'd recommend to an adult. And yes, the narration is pretentious and nowhere near as funny as it thinks it is. But they tried. Overall it's fairly enjoyable from what I've played

Why didn't you try the demo?   ???  It's the first part of the game- your save data even carries over.

The game came off to me as a less clunky Monster Hunter with better controls and no bullshit quests like "run through empty fields and kill some farm animal-dino-things for meat," but also without all that stuff just feels like a gimmicky action game with a limited playing field.

I liked it enough to order the game.  Didn't like the Monster Hunter 3 3DS demo at all, but I'll still give MH4 a shot.

magoose, by western gaming critic standards, a 75 might as well be a zero, and gamers certainly react like it is.

arc rise fantasia is one of the few wii games i remember enjoying and it has a metacritic of 64,shiren the wanderer is one of my most favourite game ever and it has a metacritic of 69 completed with dumb comments about "you can only win if you grind",if a 75 is supposed to be enraging then what i'm supposed to do?

Sure, buddy. Not like there is any history of Vita games getting constantly 5%-10% lower score averages than console counterparts for no reason whatsoever. Even the exclusives follow that problem. Motorstorm RC Vita - 77%, Motorstorm RC PS3- 82%
Completely ridiculous, and you stating that people in here have confirmation bias just shows how biased you are towards the opinions presented here instead of actually thinking about it.

And yeah, people should support the game because its good, I agree.

If we add the Vita tax on top of the average 74% review score, it lands at a 79-84% score, which sounds fair to me considering the widespread use of the 5-10 scale.

some of my favorite games have meta scores under 80, too.  That's beside the point, though.  When it comes to game reviews, anything under an 8 from most sources is basically the lower end of their active scale.

eeeehhh but it's a japanese game that is a copy of monster hunter, whoever is complaining should feel lucky it got 7.5 and not 5.9 while being called a grindy game

You want review scores to rage over try being a Musou fan in the states. Though taking a look over on meta Orochi has a 70/71 for the two main platforms and a 64 for the weeeeoooo version which aren't exactly terrible. Ah, meanwhile all the mainline DW games seem to be in the yellow score range with the exception of parts three and four on the PS2, that's more like it. :maf :gun 6-8 are generally positive scores! If the general opinion ranges from 'well it's not bad' to 'Hey you should check this out' that's generally a positive thing? Why does anybody besides marketing and the coders whose bonus is based on the meta rating even care about this shit anymore? ::)

a lot of stars would have to line up for that to happen.  we'll see how much sony cares at E3, I guess.   I think it'll be sustained and not just get canceled in a year like some non-ceos of corporations think, it's just gonna be slow.

but it will be dead as a doornail (i refuse to use "dead as disco" since we all know disoc is still kickin in alternate forms  8) ) in the west...

didn't PSP have a pretty pathetic life overall in the west?  I remember the biggest boost being the PSP-2000 with God Of War, but other than that, just a slow trickle and flat sales.  I could see Vita doing something like that, but with better support thanks to cross play stuff.

can't say i'm too worried.  got more than I'll ever beat on this thing.
