Good news for few Vita owning people that plan to buy PS4.

I hope they release a Vita XL with the extra buttons (or a cradle). I don't want to use the back touch screen for R2/L2 :yuck

You should definitely be picking up Soul Sacrifice before you even drunkenly entertain the notion of Toukiden.

Why is that?  Toukiden isn't out yet and the demo is supposed to be for an old build.  Isn't Omega Force behind this game?

Yes, yes they are.  It's less a condemnation of what I'm sure will be another mediocre piece of bland software from Omega Force and more an endorsement of Soul Sacrifice.

Got Jak and Daxter in the mail yesterday.  I beat the first one and didn't bother with the other two.  Going to try to see if I can play and beat all three.

The first one looks great on the Vita so far.  Just barely cracked into it so I can't tell you if there's slowdown or other shit like that.

I'm going to probably end up getting all of those shitty collections because I've never played games like God of War before.  Might as well start now.

2nd and 3rd J&D have much better graphics

It'd be pretty impressive if the Vita could run them at 60fps

Even if new games stop coming out for the Vita, I'm still gonna get one this year if Sony could keep releasing high quality PS2 ports

Whoops, looks like I was wrong.  Jak 1 is choppy as shit and the once tight controls on the PS2 version now resemble Methodis' mom's vag in terms of sheer looseness.  Apparently other reviewers picked up on the input lag and questionable frame rate.  It's damn near unplayable.  A shame since I liked the PS2 original.

Oh well, another $30 pissed away.

So, I'm playing Virtue's Last Reward and I'm not really feeling it. I never played 999 so that may be part of my issues but I don't really like the writing and the "escape" bits aren't too fun to play in comparison to the Ace Attorney games for me. With all the hype this series gets I really want to enjoy it but so far I just... don't.

I'll give it more time but I'm not feeling it.

The writing was on the wall for Vita as soon as it couldn't play Android apps or work as a cell phone. Even then I didn't expect it to do so poorly in Japan. I thought it'd be at least a PSP replacement and get some decent Japanese dev support. Oh well.

DOOM N' GLOOM IS BACK!  Missed that in this thread!  :hyper

Got Muramasa yesterday.  Forget the new translation, this version is better simply because you can completely customize the controls and make it play much better than it did on the Wii.  It's nice having an actual button for jumping and being able to use the triggers to dodge now.

The writing was on the wall for Vita as soon as it couldn't play Android apps or work as a cell phone.

Why would anyone want something that large and bulky, with that OS, and with that kind of battery life, as a cell phone?   ???

Koei's Toukiden came out last week and caused Vita sales to spike a tiny bit to 31,000 units.  Kind of surprising since it's also a PSP release.  I figured the PSP version would be the bigger seller.

It's Musou Orochi 3 Ultimate heading to Vita and PS3.  Supposed to have a new story and even more characters being added, while including the extras from MO3 Special and Hyper from PSP/Wii U.

The game is coming out in September.  Can't wait for it since One Piece Kaizoku Musou 2 is pretty much perfect on Vita.

For once, instead of porting the PSP version up, they ported the Vita version down.  I think that helped a lot.

They've done that before with Sengoku Musou 3Z and Musou Orochi 3 Special, porting down from PS3 to PSP.  Koei generally does pretty well with their ports (Warriors Orochi 2 on PSP was amazing), but the PSP's age is really showing.  Still, Toukiden actually looks OK in videos.

gungnir is awesome,i stopped playing halfway trough because there was a mission i simply couldn't beat properly (getting the best ending requires you to use a particular unit who's somewhat frail and you have to keep it alive trough the whole game) as i said i usualy don't like SRPG but there is so much shit going on with that game that i could write the biggest wall of text explaining all the gigs and tricks involving the game

riviera is also a good game if you fella still haven't played it even if it's like a thousand year old,be carefull because the game is rated L for anime loli as it involve wooing and dealing with a party full of them

All these are pretty good. Surprisingly, Crimson Gem Saga can go for as high as $40 on eBay. There is an iOS port, but it doesnt work anymore on newer iOS versions.

I don't fuck with digital games though, so I'll just pull out my PSP to play these.

there has been a patch which supposedly fix some of the translation but yeah... most of the dialogue is fine but the menu are all janky, but well if you went trough suikoden 2 you'll do fine with this one

it is exactly because it's technical that i like the game so much,it's also one of the sting games that put the least amount of pressure on the player,no weapon that gets broken or unit that get lost forever and things like that

anyway i've started my replay with the intention of actualy finishing the game this time, anybody going to join me?
