the newer Vita model (OLEDless) is coming to north america in spring bundled with borderlands 2.  $200.

well I'll end up waiting a bit longer until it's bundled with another game or drops in price.  no mention of Vita TV leaving Japan (where it's doing really bad?)

Which is really the only thing to give a damn about from NISA... unless you want Dagan Ronpa... I guess...

Though I guess Dagan Ronpa can't be as terrible as Virtue's Last Reward. God, the story in that was awful... D.R.'s can't be as bad.

i'm probably going to repeat myself here but before getting an official translation some guy on something awful did a translated let's play of the game so i know it pretty well... it has tons of cool character and a lot of plot twist but the overall story is really stupid and the ending is really weak...

i'm going to spoiler a pretty important part of the story here so don't open it if you are going to play the game or care

spoiler (click to show/hide)
the plot is about these guys closed inside this school and the only way they can escape is if they murder someone and they get away with the murder... at the end it turns out the only reason they are closed inside the school is because one of them is part from a terrorist group that want to cause DESPAIR but they win thanks to the power of HOPE... yeah, really that's the gist of it

TxK is pretty damn awesome, yeah.  Wish there was a console version too.

Vita is being discontinued from Target stores and will no longer be carried. New games will also not be carried in store. I heard that bestbuy might follow as well in the coming months.

That's pretty bad, but are you sure they're not just dumping Vita 1000s to make room for the 2000 model?

Although both of these stores always had a very low amount of stock to begin with at the locations I've gone to.  Been incredibly small, since launch, except for one Best Buy that had an astonishingly-large Vita section, complete with displays and they'd even sell games before street date for a period of time.

Actually all of the local stores have equally non-existent 3DS sections, come to think of it.

it's kinda like a more novelish phoenix wright, the plot is completly linear and basicaly the game is divided in chapters, in each chapter you wander around, talk to people and collect clue then at the end of each chapter there is a trial... the trial is made by several segments

- the segment that happens most often has other character saying statement and you have bullets that represent evidence, the statement float around and you have to shoot the wrong statement with the right clue so it's kinda like phoenix wright meeting a light gun game
- sometimes you get a simple multiple choice question
- sometimes the main character has to think about his answer so letter float around and you have to hits them to form the word representing the new clue
- sometimes one of the other character goes crazy and you have to play a little rhythm game to calm them down
- lastly at the end of each chapter you have to reconstruct how the event of the chapter played by sorting manga panels on this board,it's really cool

That actually sounds like something I'd like...except for that floating/"shooting" crap.

But isn't there an anime series based on this?  Might as well just watch that.

i heard the anime is awful so i'm not sure if it's a good idea, and if you just want to watch it there is a let's play of the game and several video on youtube that spoil the whole game (which is what i did because it looked like there was no hope of this game ever getting a us release)

anyway for example here is the whole first trial

(spoiler because spoilers)

spoiler (click to show/hide)
[close]

so you can see how the floating/shooting crap works, from what i know it starts pretty simple but it gets harder with fake target that obstruct your vision and the like but there is a difficulty scale if it annoys you too much and before each trial you can basicaly do s.link with the other character and they teach you skills that help with these segment

I played "Thomas was Alone" since it is free on PS+

And I've completely lost the plot. I'm convinced the entire thing was just one guy taking the piss out of everyone. Taking a game with nothing but squares, and trying to carve out this little plot. I think my game glitched too as well during the ending, since it just jumped straight to the credits.

I tried dead nation on ps3 and ps4, both times it was free (at the cost of information and a plus subscription.  yeah, it's not good.

I don't know if it's housemarque's most successful game or what.  A PS4 port of super stardust or vita port of resogun would be better.
