If you buy God of War Collection - it is cross-buy with PS3 version. Sounds like it only works if you do it online only though.

Quote
As an added bonus, if you purchase God of War Collection for PS Vita system via PlayStation Store, you’ll get the PS3 version for free via cross buy (and vice-versa).

Apparently there's a glitch with this.

If you have PS+ - "buy/download" the two God of War HD trials for PS3 (I used the webstore).

DO NOT RUN THEM (?)

Now, on Vita (or webstore? or PS3?) search for the collection, and it should show up free.

Buy this.

Now, because you bought the Vita version, the PS3 versions should now be cross-buy, and thus free.

----

I dont have enough space to DL, but I bought the Vita version for $0.00 - so it seems to have worked.

When I go to the store page of the collection, it shows up as Free but when I click buy, it says "You are not eligible to purchase this."

People are saying it still works. You might have to actually add it to your cart first.

- Buy the two GOW PS+ trials
- Buy Vita Collection

I used the webstore to "buy" the trials and that worked, but it won't let me add the collection to my cart. I tried it on the Vita too, but there's no "Buy" button, just the collection page.

Bought the BL2 bundle today. Went to Best Buy first, and after thirty minutes of several employees searching everywhere for the five they supposedly had in stock (they never did find any), I called Gamestop - from the Best Buy show floor :lol - and had them hold one of the two they had. I don't know if this is bullshit or not, but the Gamestop dude told me these bundles are a limited run, and after they're sold it'll probably just be Vita + 8GB card for the same price. Said he tried to get a couple more for store stock and couldn't.

Had to do a system update right out of the box.  Goddamnit, Sony :lol

Anyway, it definitely feels lighter than the 1000 I had. I like the screen fine, text is nice and crisp, colors look good, and it seems bright enough to me. I like the rounded edges. Could be just me, but I think the speakers might be a bit louder? Still think they should have gone for a back click pad instead of rear touch. And you can't use the memory card and the internal memory at the same time? :wtf

Flip-flopping on whether to sell the BL2 code. I've already played the shit out of it on PC, dunno if the novelty of handheld gun porn is enough to start again.

Eel, hang onto that code or sell it off.  Everything trickling out about Borderlands seems to stink.  Was looking forward to it, too- never played any of the BL games before.  Oh well, time to install it on PC I guess.

Here's some more comparison photos.  Apologies for some of the 1000 pictures being cut off a little bit in some of them.  Also note that any banding you see is from the camera; it appears a bit on both screens.  I think reds look better on the 2000; they're too saturated on the 1000 screen, but the 1000's OLED screen remains the champ in my book.  I noticed that in some games, like Senran Kagura, the washed-out colors hide some detail (see the character's head in the very last pic).

Top/right- 2000
Bottom/left- 1000

Both systems were at max brightness.

spoiler (click to show/hide)

There continues to be people in flat-out denial over the superior OLED making their presences known.  So fucking weird, even for fanboys.

Honestly, I don't think BL2 looks that bad. Enemies explode and disappear instead of laying around, and some effects are missing, but other than that it's kind of impressive they got it running that well.  That tiny text would kill my eyes, though.

Results vary.  I haven't tried it from outside my place, but I can get great results anywhere in my apartment.  There are two types of remote play connection settings you can use, BTW.  One based on your wireless network and the other directly connected to your PS4.  The latter is the one that you need to be closer to the system for it to work well.
