I really wish they would have bumped up the text size in BL2. So, so tiny :(

Got a screenshot?

I found a couple on the net at native res you can load in your vita browser if you want to check it out.

on that 5 inch screen it's squint city

Hate how stiff and cumbersome it feels to move around and attack in Monster Hunter.

that's all core to Monster Hunter - you learn over time how to make the combat work for you. If you go in expecting it to be combat-game-esque then yeah...people are going to much prefer one of the other hunter games.

But balance and curve wise MH is incredible.

As i said over and over - in my review of PS2 MH1 ... the things that make the game as good as it is are basically by products of poor design which, over the series, have been honed into the experience it is. Because hell, i sure didn't enjoy having to wait through the heal animation whilst a Rath comes bunding into me from the other end of the arena - at first i was "what IS this sh1t?!" but after a while it's all a part of the game. And that tension, that balance of risks ... that's what makes MH what it is... and i'm not convinced all of it was done on purpose, certainly not in the first game.

We got a "pro" player here, guys.

No. Nothing pro about it. Soul Sacrifice plays nothing like Phantom Dust outside of being "third person 'Magic' casting."

Everytime I see someone use the comparison I'm :what -ing for five minutes and going "have you actually played Phantom Dust?"

Picked up Borderlands 2.  The regular game data is on the cart and the rest is DLC.  Looks like about 2GB worth of downloads.  It's going pretty steadily for me.  Took 7 minutes to download 942 MB from PSN.

Still on the fence about Soul Sacrifice.  I think I may get it though cuz I'm a sucker.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable
Yggdra Union

Good timing. Which of these are worth getting, brehs?

Class of heroes - awfull awfull awfull dungeon crawler, if you want a dungeon crawler get elminage

Crimson Gem Saga - i think i played some sort of asian version which wasn't translated by atlus, the translation was pretty goofy but otherwise the game was unremarkable

growlanser - didn't play but if it's like the ps2 one it's awfull and the only notable thing about it is that the art is drawn by a pretty infamous hentai artist

gungnir - really fucking complicated srpg by sting with a shitload of subsystem, i didn't finish the game but honestly i tought it was a pretty cool game

hexyz force - boring & generic psp rpg n.21564... NEXTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

kenka bancho - ah, this one is pretty original, you play as a japanese thug and you punch the shit out of other japanese thug so that you can get crowned as the best japanese thug ever, it's worth it alone for the fact that you initiate fight by looking at your opponent wrongs and shit-talking them

riviera - another game by sting, i like it but it's pretty weird for a jrpg, you can't actualy travel around and every action you do actualy consume point which the game rewards you depending on how you do in battle, when you are in battle you can only fight by using consumables and your target is decided by whatever consumable you are using (for example using bows automaticaly attack enemies in the back row) the game characters are also 1 guy and 4 chicks so there is obviously a small dating element to the whole game where whatever you say influence who likes you or not and give's you an appropriate ending

knights in the nightmare - weird game by sting no.2, this one tries to combine srpg with shooters, basicaly you order your unit around with a cursor but at the same times enemies shoots bullet around and only damage you if the bullet hit the cursor... your character also can't move around (well one class can but it's a special case), so it's all in the timing of giving your order unit at the right time! i tought the game had potential but you spend more time breaking random stuff to get random trinket so you can recruit more character than actualy fighting monster and it's very annoying

persona 1 - didn't play

persona 2 - i haven't played the original, the sequel is a decent game if you can resist the absurdly high encounter rate and the occasional super obtuse secret, unfortunately the translation of the PSP version of the sequel never arrived so you would have to finish the game on PSX or just get half of it

persona 3 - i still think it's overrated as fuck but for 5$ it's a good deal

yggdra union - the last sting game of the list, this one gimmick is that it's an SRPG where you only get to attack with a single unit for each turn but when that unit attack, it brings all the adjacent unit in the attack with itself so there is lot of positioning involved, i never finished the game because honestly the difficulty is all over the place and there are several annoyance (several maps where bosses are invincible until the story tells you it's ok to beat them, several secret items that you can only find with heavy faq usage...)

The menu/item text in Borderlands 2 is somehow even smaller than Eel made it out to be!   :lol  Really bad on your eyes.

But the game seems pretty good otherwise.  There was a big patch released today that addressed bugs.  Wonder if it also addressed some of the framerate and crashing issues?

Just know Persona 1's aged kinda badly. You may not like it, but P2:IS/EP have aged better than it.

P3 (and P4, but that's not part of this sale) are totally gameplay and tonally different from the first two.

Well, you're gonna be in for a shock doing first person dungeons in P1, then third person dungeons in P2 and then S. Links instead of negotiations in 3/4.  :lol

Also DO NOT do the Snow Queen quest in P1 unless you really enjoy P1's main-story. There's a split point early in the game that you'll want to look up the choice for (IIRC it's "leave the school" to get on the main/non-Snow Queen path) the main story bit but it should be pretty obvious.

Snow Queen is a "side-story" that is more for replays and is WAY harder than the normal quest.
