Finished Stealth Inc... got sick of it near the end.

Playing Patchwork Heroes since I've had it on my Vita for a while.... this is a PSP game. It's basically QIX with a bunch of whimsy.

Shit, I totally forgot about that game... I ignored a lot of the PSN-only PSP titles. But that's cool that they are compatible with Vita. I should get this and Corpse Party.

Qix + Whimsy sounds right up my alley.

I really enjoyed Patchwork Heroes. I think Sony gave it away for free years ago (not part of Plus), so some of you might have it.

so that neptunia strategy game for the vita is getting released this week in japan... now i have learned the hard way that everything compile hearts does is enough to cure anybody from liking any sort of vaguely turn-based game whatsoever but i think this is worth a mention for two reasons... one is that this game is actualy made by sting, the guy behind riviera, yggdra, gungnir and other decent srpg game so there is a low chance that it might actualy be playable

and two is that instead of featuring obscure game company that released like three visual novel games, this game feature jokes about game series you actualy know about!

so here's resident evil chan :uguu

monster hunter chan :uguu

metal gear chan :uguu

pacman chan :uguu

final fantasy chan :uguu

dragon quest chan :uguu

dynasty warrior chan for himumu :uguu

gundam chan :uguu

Been playing Velocity Ultra, which was free on PS+. It's pretty decent. Very "retro" - not much gimmicks here, just "race to the end as fast as you can perfectly".

Got Arcana Heart 3 LOVE MAX!!! for Vita.  :uguu

Don't know what the deal is with Arc System Works' ports recently, but both this and BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma have noticeably-long load times.  This game takes 17 seconds to load to the character select screen, then another 25-30 seconds to load the match.  Aside from that, it's a great port.

Bought a grip for my Vita.

http://amzn.com/B00H3ZUA5K

It's okay for $12. The bottom clamp is a little loose, but it doesn't feel like the vita will fall out or anything. The handles are bigger and longer than the PDP Trigger Grip I had for the 1000, so they fit my hands better.  No triggers, but those things stuck half the time anyway.

There's some excellent Engrish on the back of the package:

Yeah, I bought that one.  Vita is still uncomfortable to hold and now slips down my hands and back touching is harder to reach.  But at least with this I don't get hand cramps.  One foot forward, one foot back accessory.  Don't really use it.

then again I don't really use my Vita either.

Hot Shots Tennis: Get A Grip (PSP/Vita) is currently on sales for $7.49/$3.75 (PS+) in North America

You should buy this game if you enjoy arcadey sports with engrossing gameplay. It features a fairly lengthy story mode where you travel the globe to spread the love of tennis! Killzone's Helghast soldiers have a cameo and are playable too.

Anyone know if the boxing game on sale is any good? It's a phone port, so I'm a bit weary even if it is $2.

If people werent aware, Sly 4 is free right now. Cross-Buy, as well.

Been playing Ys Celceta again. Playing on Nightmare the first time. It was a bit bumpy, but it's slowly smoothing itself out, just after the Tower of Providence. The only speedbumps are the bosses, which for the most part are do-able. Just have to be patient, chip away, and dodge.

Avoid Mind Zero like the plague.

I'm all for clone games cause they can sometimes have good ideas/gimmicks that the real deal would never dare to experiment with, but Mind Zero is the definition of a developer looking at Persona 3/4 and thinking "hey I can do that too!" without understanding what makes those games fun. The localization by Aksys is just about the only redeeming aspect, and even that's just extra polish on a turd. Even the music isn't any good; if you're gonna try to rip off Persona, at least try to copy the best thing about it!

All of the above. Sidequests that don't give any good rewards (if at all), massive difficulty spikes out of nowhere, Ugly 3D models, sluggish menus, really basic dungeon crawling with annoying dungeon design, high encounter rate, a ludicrous amount of asset re-use (sometimes I fought enemy re-colors in the same dungeon they were introduced), etc. Again, the localization job really is the best part of the game, with Aksys even getting a lot of the Persona VAs to voice their Mind Zero counterparts.

Not that it matters but:

spoiler (click to show/hide)
The game doesn't even have a proper ending. It just ends at the climax of everything with no resolution and has the audacity of having a post-credits sequel hook.

Demon Gaze is leagues better than Mind Zero, even with how simplistic Demon Gaze can be at times. The former actually has a battle system that works well as is fun, for starters. The latter has a mess of subsystems that are either really ineffective or only serve to hinder the player.

I imported it quite a while ago and dropped it because it was so boooooring. Like Sunblade said, boring sidequests, dungeon design puts you to sleep, battles put you to sleep, UI/menus are bad, models are cheap, sound effects are cheap, and the dialogue is boring (ie: it has interesting elements, but it feels dry).  I heard from other importers about later on in the game and was glad I dropped it in the end.

Demon Gaze is a much better game. If it didn't have its iffy content, it would be a decent beginner's first-person dungeon crawler because it feels more balanced than Mind Zero, and the subsystems work far better.

I have a Vita. I've had it since almost UK launch, it's a 3G one and takes a sim card.

Apart from Unchartered that I got with it for £20, I haven't bought a single game for it since.

BUT, I do have Playstation Plus so I get new games every month. Currently playing through Dragons Crown, its nice so far. BTW, Murasame was some boring shit. And it had Ninja's in but was still boring.

It's 3.5GB

I mean, I'm fairly certain it isn't my router or the Vita itself. I've run the Vita's built-in connection test several times, and get results from 9-12mbps every time. I downloaded the Netflix and YouTube apps, and they both stream fine. The browser loads pages fast, and when I run mobile speed tests I'm getting 8-10 mbps results. If it were my router or the Vita hardware, it would be affecting all these things, and not just PSN downloads. I've tried every DNS trick I found on the net, and it doesn't matter. Are the PSN servers regional? Maybe I'm just getting shunted off to shitty servers down here. That's the only thing I can think of at this point.

No idea on server regions.  I just know that the last time I downloaded something large -FFX-2 HD, which is around 3.5 GB too- it was done in under an hour.
