Going to Terrapin this year, hopefully it'll be four days of psychedelic drugs and sun. Last year was pretty good, rained a bit. Year before that it was flooded.

seen matt & kim the other night.  hadn't heard much of their music but they put on a fantastic show.  lots of energy, lots of hyping up the crowd, and kim even got out and walked on the crowds' hands.  they actually managed to get everyone moving and jumping around, which lemme is NOT easy to do here.  fucking awesome show!

Just ordered a 3 day pass for Electric Zoo 2011 at Randall's Island, lineup is fucking ridiculous, every single genre of EDM you can name of is covered (house, trance, dubstep, mnml, techno, drum&bass, nudisco, prog...)

ugh, Phish is going to be in Watkins Glen, NY this coming weekend. I live 45 minutes from there, but when I went out to my car this morning to go to work I swear I caught  a light whiff of petruli. The hippy invasion is descending. It has begun.

Seeing Neko Case in Seattle on July 10th. Might head up to Squamish, British Columbia to see Stars in late July.

Seeing Streetlight Manifesto on the 13th, that's about it for shows this summer.  Probably because I don't have any show going friends these days and I'm not going solo unless it's something I really really want to see.

There aren't very many shows I'm interested in this summer. Seapony is doing a free show at Bluebird Ice Cream on July 2nd, but we've already got a party that night. The Capitol Hill Block Party is crazy expensive just to see Explosions in the Sky and TV on the Radio and Bumbershoot is pretty blah (considering going whatever day Broken Social Scene is playing).

I'm definitely seeing The Flaming Lips at the Western Washington Fair in September, though. That shits gonna be crazy.

Unfortunately not... though I don't mind the drive in, it's not that bad. I do so much commuting by car anyways I'm used to it. Getting off the island, on the other hand...
