well my coworker of the past two years is being forced out because management won't let him adjust his schedule by a fucking hour. there's only five of us on my team and we're all pretty close so this sucks pretty bad.
but whats way worse is that yesterday we found out my uncle has mantle cell lymphoma, a rare disease that has no cure and a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years. not that there's ever a good time for something like that, but his oldest daughter has a 1-yr old, the two middle daughters are both pregnant for the first time, and his youngest daughter is going through a series of surgeries because she suffers from severe chronic stomach pain. in addition to that his wife, along with my mom, have been taking care of my grandpa as he succumbs to alzheimers. they basically have to take care of my grandma too because my grandpa's the one who took care of EVERYTHING.
our family's been almost unbelievably perfect over the years. we're all close to each other, we keep in touch, help each other out, etc. there's never been anything close real drama; there've been only a few times where someone's been seriously sick, and no deaths. so all this plus some other serious stuff in the past year has hit us extremely hard. i just really hope that this is the lowest it gets.
