Well I'm learning how to draw now, because that's always been my handicap. Not to boast, but everyone I meet at some point tells me that I could be writing screenplays, and recently I was convinced by a couple of friends. I just started writing a script and one of the ways I kind of design levels and gameplay scenarios is always about trying to merge a sense of storytelling and gameplay, like they are playing one twos. The problem is, I never learned how to draw, I had a friend that draws amazing, actually works in 3D animation. Me though, I would ways go for the story, told through shitty sketches. I never quite believed that I could even use that skill, but if I learn how to draw (to an approachable level) and complement ideas and images that I have in my head then maybe who knows.
I think it's the more interesting road in videogames, because you know how the technical side works, and you have an ability to express yourself visually. Which is, or it will become, almost mandatory for someone in design.
