Lord help me, but I tried this.  The market looks like it might be game-breaking.  Like in Nobunaga's Ambition, where the optimal way to play was to be a rice-trader who occasionally invaded people, it seems to make more sense to get your resources through arbitrage than through actual production.

arbitrage is alot of fun though
