Come on man. So i had this interview to work in a games magazine, told myself "hey, maybe you could use some sort of inside look". Not that I want to be a journalist any more, but still.

So i had the address in my mind, but the area is a bit confusing once you get there. So I decided to call my GF, thought to myself "It's Google Maps, can't be too hard". Half an hour later i was still trying to get there....she sent me the opposite way. Missed the interview, came home to find out how simple it actually was...it was so simple, just 200 meters straight ahead from where i was when i called.

How do you cope with shit like this? OFFENSIVE

Because later she was all interested in seeing the map with me. I had told her about how she sent me the wrong way.

Now, I didn't care and didn't make a fuss with her, but she gets really interested in it and so we go and take a look at it. And out of nowhere she tells me "Hell, I told you the directions really well". Game over.

It was incredible, she tried her best to set it in stone that it was my fault that I couldn't give her clearer notion of where I was. Apparently, between naming buildings, round abouts, where the sea was, the avenue I was in, the direction I was taking, and just actually describing how they look on a map...just didn't quite do it.

Dude, srsly, wtf? You had about a bajillion tools at your disposal to figure out where you were going before you left. You went out unprepared, then wanted your GF to walk you through it over the phone, and now you want to blame her for not getting to where you wanted to go? She sent you the wrong way, maybe, but what are you expecting from someone giving directions over the phone? Take some responsibility for your own part, the larger portion of this failure.

Yeah it's my responsibility. That's the obvious part. But I would hope that you could at least count on some help in times when you need it, at least from those you think you can trust, at least with simple shit. If some people here don't even expect that from their companions, then what the fuck do you expect from them? Just company? Let me laugh a bit.

Regarding the wanting the job or not, absolutely right. Of course I wouldn't scout the location before hand, because I think that's just weird, and it's one of the big problems with people that go on job interviews these days, they kinda want it too much in a creepy way. Be relaxed.

Anyway, they asked me to go there the day after, I went there and met the place and how they did things, etc. Well now I understand why being a game journalist must suck, because the environment was just a shitty environment to be in.
