I loved the first three. I loved breaking Mega Man 3 by using that super jump cheat. MM9 and 10 are alright, but I like the first three the best. The arcade fighting game was pretty cool too. I downloaded isos of MML1 and 2 cause of all the hype for MML3, might give them a try some day. From what I hear MML1 kinda sucks, so should I just skip to MML2?
I like the series but once again, internet fans quickly squandered any possible sympathy by overblowing some shit. It's like no one could just think to ignore or at least, not give as much reaction to the EU Twitter guy, as it's obvious that Capcom Japan is the one who made the decision. And that, like all Japanese game companies with international branches, their international branches are barely above forum-poster level, in terms of control over and information about the Japanese branch, who literally calls all the shots. But no, now MML3 bitching comments are a cancer on all streams and forums. I don't know, maybe I'm asking too much for people to chill.
The reason I even mention that is because there's nothing to indicate that Mega Man is dead. So MML3 got canceled and there's nothing in the pipeline that we know about. They're not going to react quickly to internet fans and make a formal announcement of a new game or something just because a couple hundred people are spamming about mega man. They're smart enough to know that this "controversy" is a drop in the ocean, as nobody outside of a couple thousand nerds has any deep brand loyalty (or is even informed enough to care about what company makes what games.) Because of this, they don't have to react or make statements in any serious capacity.
The fans' displays of emotion are enough to tell Capcom that next time anything the mention anything Mega Man related, the people bitching the loudest will probably be the happiest and the first in line for the overpriced, high profit margin Collector's Edition when Capcom "changes" and gives them a Mega Man game.
