i think dropping the price of the ps3 to $250 makes the Vita look really bad IMO. why bother buying a vita when you can have a ps3 for the same price?

Yeah, to either a PS3 or a MediaGo (PC). Nobody gives a crap about Ad-Hoc multiplayer anymore but Japan, so you'll be all set.

Sure, if you download games to your PC/PS3 then transfer them.

There's no point in buying this downgraded model unless they're making some noticeable changes to it. Get a Go and hack it...can't beat that.
