I cannot srt it up. I have had 2 palm phones that i loved but this thing i hate.

Start it up. Spinning circle for half an hour on hp terms and conditions. Reboot

Start it up. Hp terms load up in 5 seconds. Log into palm profile. Spinning circle for twenty minutes. Reboot

Repeat once more. Device crashes

Start it up. Hp terms load in 5 seconds. Palm profile login takes 5 seconds. Select pre 2 as prior device. Spinning circle for twenty minutes. Reboot

Start it up. Get up to the pre 2 import. Instead of halting at a quarter the bar goes up tp 5/6ths at a steady pace before coming to another complete halt. Reboot? Can i use tis fucking thing or not?!?!

Oh and it is a coin flp whether i will need to relogin to my wifi network between attempts. Or whether the power button will turn it on without alao holding the home button for 15 seconds. Ive had this for 12 hours and i still cant fucking use it.

that's absolutely shitty.  i only had issues with the download.  of all the times to get a defective unit...

could you try to make a new account then just associate your existing pre account with the device after you've booted it up? i don't have mine with me, so I can't tell you if you can add another pre account to the one already on the device.

edit: after missing out on some which were released at midnight, my gf called every Bestbuy in Manhattan.  No more are coming to the island apparently.

That least reboot was enough, i got it working

Now it wont let me skype

I gOt skype to work once but now it keeps saying im not signed in. When i click sign in, it says i already am.

The palm phones were a bit out of date but they were fully functional products that were fun to use. This thing is like fucking pulling teeth. Hp ruined palm.

Ive also made it crash several times just having 5 or 6 windows open. Not a full reboot, just a black screen for 20 seconds and all my shit is closed. So much for multitasking.

not at the time. I have now, and I have installed all the recommended patches. Id like a patch that locks scrolling in one direction when you are moving in the other axis

Honeycomb source not being released still bugs the hell out of me. Most "evil" decision Google's made in a while.

Most (if not all) of the Honeycomb source/functionality is going to be released with ICS. I think it's fair enough that Google decided to retain a proprietary fork of the project optimised for tablets, don't really see how it's "evil", vendors pushed them into this by going against google and implementing 2.x in crappy ass tablets.

And they're still releasing 2.x on tablets since the Honeycomb source isn't released. Only the big boys get Google's sweet stuff.

Releasing the source late is just contrary to the nature and goals of an open project. There's really no good reason for it.
