This game is awesome!  It's almost like Warhammer 40K:  Musou Edition!   But with a digestible story!

yup- multiplayer is great too- so far. I hope they keep adding maps. Also balance gear/talents off of feedback. Eventually most people will be high end gear- but im enjoying the tactical loadout

Edit: I like the game a lot- but this seems kinda insane:

I initially liked L.A Noire until I decided to replay it, and found that I couldn't - it was uber boring.
Needed some chainswords

This is a great idea. Please get on this straightaway.

R U LYING *revs chainsword*

Also- Stalker Bolter is my weapon o choice. Plasma matches it in range and can be overcharged, but it cant do the same amount of damage at range as a stalker bolter. Still-fancy lights! I like how depending on what weapon you use a lot you get talent unlocks for that weapon.

Man, I just started the multiplayer, and is it just me or is this super hard? Super fun, but super super hard.

Rodi: keep at mid range with a tactical marine build and take em out with the stalker bolter. If someone gets in melee range do a stun attack, roll away, then hit em with the bolter.

You also usually get a jump pack icon pointing off screen if an assault marine is targeting your area from the air, so roll away just like you do from grenades.

You also don't take fall damage in this game so feel free to make a tactical retreat by rolling off things like bridges.

I traded in some shitty games and picked up this for PC along with a 1200 XBLA points card. Installing now bitches (hopefully Dead Island gets its act together soon)!

The elite pass code is on the back of the instruction manual. Yeah, it's a bit strange...

Yeah but why do it in the first place? Kill pre-owned sales?

Yeah.

I get it. You want all the sales you can get, especially with new or risky IPs but realistically it would just be easier to sell these games at a lower price point and make up the difference with Avatar items or DLC.

Take Space Marine for an example (tho I think SM is a good value at $60). If it was $40 at launch but you had to pay for the co-op mode and additional MP colors that'd be a little more fair and less shit on by gamers than these codes are.

Companies need readjust their price point strategy before trying to go after USED sales.

Its just gettin to be a hassle to play a game anymore. They cut stuff up and serve it piecemeal in the name of convenience but all it means to me is I have to figure it all out. Examples being that awful Crimson ALliance xbla whatever pricing model, or Age of Empires Onlines season pass. oh god season passes I hate those too.

LAZGUN - omg wtf. That aside, MOST of the maps are ok- there's one in particular that turns into a sniper fest- but honestly with assault types im NOT sure why it tends to be a problem. I think there are also still a lot of bad players out there. Lots of melee spammin assault dudes- deadly only at the moment of impact, after that they tend to just flail around at random. I did see some AMAZING assault marines last night though- they never lost a step just swoopin in- killin and swoopin out- terrifying.

Also blind grenades are pretty horrible- Theyre only useful 1 vs 1 since they blind everyone in a radius whether theyre looking at the direction of the grenade or not- they need to nerf that so facing away keeps you from getting blinded.

i don't like the end of this game.

edit:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
you face a few waves of Chaos. somewhat difficult. then there's a dumb QTE segment. then the end. it should be ramping up and up and up not down down down. i didn't mind the note the game ended on but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck cliffhangers.

Level 18- unlocked the hammer tonight, but I usually play tactical with stalker bolter anyway so went with that config for the screenshot.

Needs more drybrushing on the edges of the armor. I think the guy added too many ink washes.

started playing this again today

i know jet packs are supposed to be cool but i don't much care for them in this, too hard to control, you're all over the place

i also don't like that you can be in the middle of a stun kill animation to regain health and some goddamned punkass low level ork can sneak a hit and and drop you before the animation completes

other than that i am still having fun with it

Sometimes if I'm really used to a particular genre, the first little bit of the game is a total bore, while they are trying to bring everyone else up to speed on genre tropes, I am usually bored out of my skull.

After that, if things pick up, I'm good.

Which is to say you should give it a solid 2 hours. After that, if you're bored, it's hopeless.

Played some Space Marine.

I like it. I mean its not amazing or anything but it seems solid. I like the music and the drum driven nature of it. I like how powerful you are and how you can wade into groups. The game both in the sp and the mp reminds me of the Transformers game rather than Gears.

Surprisingly I also like the MP. More than say Gears for example. It's just laggy probably due to the low population which is unfortunate.

Space Marines was $10 on Amazon today and it activates on Steam, so I bought it. If it's bad, I'm gonna go to MAF's house and force one of those huge, three-story Warhammer books down his throat.
