Team Meat's Edmund McMillen's side project is a dual-stick shooter rogue-like that draws its inspiration from games like the original Legend of Zelda and Robotron. This game comes out in a couple weeks and I'm excited for it, so here's the thread.

Me. Game is really hard and the last time I played I got killed on the last level by some nasty slowdown that lagged the controls out

But I'm still having a ton of fun, just putting more time into Dark Souls atm. X-Ray is probably my favorite item, next to the laser eye or piercing shot (Larry Jr. eats it big time against those).

I dig it, haven't put a ton of time in yet but it seems like a great game to come back to whenever I get a bit of time but not enough to dive into something bigger, and in a much more satisfying way than a typical fun little casual game that might fill that space.

Nailed it! This is exactly how I feel as well, though sometimes I end up playing it longer than games I'm actually trying to beat

I still can't get a handle on the keyboard controls so I use the mouse to aim and shoot rather than the cursor keys. Works great for me.

It's buggy as hell, might want to wait for a patch before playing. I've already got myself stuck in an arcade because the door failed to trigger EXIT ROOM and after a Mom fight because the trap door didn't appear.

It feels like you're back to square one, with all these items that you have no idea what they're going to do and monsters that you've never seen before. The challenges look they're going to add a lot of longevity. I played one where the map was totally blacked out.

Nice to see the good ol' zero health devil room glitch is still around.

Sometimes instead of a devil room, you get an angel room.

New final area is the Cathedral, at the end of the Womb you get a choice of whether to ascend into heaven or descend into Sheol. I made it to the final final boss (and died) and no, it's not who you think and that's all I'm gonna say. :p

The major addition is a Hard Mode.
