If cinema's had free movies, they'd always be packed.

Free2Play games have a business model that depends on obsessive nerds spending hundreds of dollars on virtual hats and skins to counterbalance the freeloaders.  I don't think movie theaters can depend on fat people buying a ton of popcorn and candy at the concession stand.

Movie theaters can, but bloated studios can't. huahuahua

There are movies that are free watch just like there are games that are free to play.  The quality is about the same too.  Mostly crap with a few gems.

I dunno Mups, free to play games are moving into quality territory now. Like they are proper games.

I'm just trying to think out of the box here.

Good point.

Free movies once they get out of theaters then? But... what would be the micro transaction then?

point me in the direction.  Not being facetious.  I gave up on free games long ago and haven't looked back.  I hated them.

I downloaded and played a little Puzzle Pirates. It's pretty much on par with that public domain copy of Zontar: The Thing From Venus I downloaded from Archive.org.

Team Fortress 2
League of Legends (Kinda.  The game itself is good, but the prices and feature set are abysmal)

Probably the two best F2P games on the market.

what do you think indie films are? like that portal short film that came out the other week? that's the equivalent of a f2p game, once again proving that film > games

Well I guess it depends if the free part is really a full game with no BS.
