We bbq'd DARN GOOD burgers, hot dogs and ate awesome cakes of chocolate oreo goodness. With many many beers as well.

BBQ!!! I've got NY strip steaks, chicken thighs, hot links, pork spareribs, tri-tip, corn on the cob, bell peppers and shrimp wrapped in bacon. Just finished making the potato salad. All I need now is salad ingredients that I will pick up tomorrow.

Friday: Played some video games after work. Nothing special. Decided to download and watch some old action movies. Total Recall, The Running Man, The 6th Day (lolol terrible), Eraser (so bad I forgot all about it), and Under Siege.

Saturday: Breafast at IHOP made me sleepy. Crashed for the next few hours, then the wife wanted to drive. That's it...just drive. So we got on the highway and drove for a while, ending up in another city at some so-so sushi/hibachi place called "Samurai Blue." Nobody there was Japanese and it appeared to be Korean-owned, so when my wife tried to request something for her meal, they had no idea what the hell she was talking about.

My food came out slathered in some mayo-based sauce, which made me queasy. I can't eat mayo. So they took it back and it brought it out sans-sauce, but nothing tasted right. Yelp gave this place pretty good reviews, but it was so-so. Service was great though.

Sunday: Went to an art festival in Marietta, GA. Nothing of too much interest there; wife got a photo of a Florida beach scene that she liked. Ate at the Marietta Diner (

) then went back home and tried putting up this 360 Kinect wall mount. It fucked up the wall and came out, so my father came over and brought some stronger screws/wall mounts. Still didn't work...no more accessories from PDP for me.

Today: Gonna likely go to Home Depot and pick up some spackle. Gotta cover that wall. Yay.

We had the inlaws and neighbors over for a BBQ on Saturday. I cooked up chicken kebobs, hamburgers, hotdogs, and my special potatoes. The neighbor brought over ribs. Made a fire and enjoyed the time we had.

Good thing we did it on Saturday cause it rained all day Sunday and Monday.

I had kind of a crazy week/end. spent the first part of the week in Florida (Panama City Beach), then went to Biloxi for a night, then drove to New Orleans to catch a flight to Vegas for the labor day weekend. we kinda dodged the tropical storm the whole way.

the first night we were there, we saw Skrillex (and Lil John lol) at Encore Beach Club, for which I got entirely too drunk and spent entirely too much. Was fuckawesome tho.

next night we saw Deadmau5 at the Cosmo, which was pretty much the reason for the Vegas trip. altho I think we were part of the probably 20% of the crowd that weren't rolling nuts, it was fantastic. if you like his music at all, make sure to check out his show when it passes through...visuals were unreal.

we were pretty much spent by the time we got back to NO...didn't do much. great week/end overall tho!
