DQX is wii exclusive. There was obviously a moneyhat involved. I could see it going 3ds or WiiU but Mr Segata has successfully cast doubt in my heart about that.

3ds gets Pokemon Chrome. WiiU will have New Super Mario Bros Mii. There, at least a 20 million userbase for each system without much effort. It'll definitely outperform xbox and gamecube.

Without a moneyhat I don't understand how DQX wouldn't make much much more sense as another DS game or a PSP title. I thought the major rationale for platform choice was install base, and the Wii has been tanking HARD for YEARS (outside of holidays).

I didn't play 9. Can't see myself caring for 10. As messed up as it sounds, the most entertainment I'll get out of this is watching the reactions from people who do care if it's announced for the Panasonic Jungle.

I think this is distinguished mentally-challenged. No, seriously, Hori/squeenix must have downs syndrome. This kind of game appeals to a much narrower demographic than the traditional DQ audience. The Wii has severely limited communication options which would make maintaining friends a chore.

I hope someone severely misinterpreted something because this whole idea is grossly inappropriate. I can barely believe it.

my main issue with online games of this type is that all of the visuals take such a massive hit to make it work; collision detection, clipping, animation, etc. They tend to look ass in that regard and I for one find that very off-putting.

I didn't play 9, nor am I a hardcore slimeophile, but I did enjoy 8, so maybe I'll keep an eye out. just in case.
