Not really. I don't see "every mechanic" changed. I don't see anything advanced as much as the concept of how Magicka took a Diablo clone and really did a lot with the casting mechanic. I see something a lot alike D2. I loved Diablo 2, but I was just hoping to see more of a step forward.

Not really, Titan Quest still looks pretty hot and it's not about the graphics. Something stylised like Torchlight can look just as good even if it's technically inferior

That's the problem with Blizzard games. Most of the games are highly outdated by the time of release. I wish they were more like Valve in making games look great on high-end PCs while keep them playable on lesser hardware.

I think bluzz games look good. Although I am tired of wow' stylized look that has been copied so many times. Not their fault though.

Blizz has never been known for cutting edge graphics, but for polish.

Smooth, that statement is based entirely on WoW. The game's cartoonish art style makes the game age, although now that I have a nice graphics card I'm able to see the fuck awesome water and spell effects. Once you get past trees looking so bad (still) the graphical weaknesses become minor.

SC2 looks amazing obviously, and D3 looks pretty damn good graphically. Blizz always seems to make sure their games can be played on super low settings for just about any computer set up. I watch a lot of pro SC2 streams; most pros play with all effects/graphics on low, and the game still looks tolerable.

Characters are horribly blocky in WOW and that's what the player is concentrating on, most of the time.

It's just that some choices, like the UI and text, appear as though they are re-used assets. Since it's only beta, they could modernize those things before release and I don't see it being a big hit to the system requirements.

Haven't even bothered to watch a video recently but honestly if its anything like the other games, you play it from such a zoomed out mode that fine graphic detail becomes fairly unimportant for the game and the genre.

I'm playing as a Monk now, which is really straightforward...mostly passive skills. Keep on top of your potions and keep clickin' and that's about all there is to it. Of course it has that irresistible vortex pull of LEWT and fuckawesome dungeons. Any questions?

btw, 3D Vision is not actively supported by the game yet but it works great anyway. I'd imagine Blizz will tweak it themselves at some point like they did w/SC II

Yeah, so that was pretty awesome as Monk. Orgies of violence. The health orb vs potion thing is a huge change - avoiding dropped orbs 'til you need 'em is a useful skill, since you can't put them in your inventory. What class to pick next, I wonder.
