I took off Thursday to take care of house-related stuff... gotta get the locks re-keyed and have contractors come over for estimates (redoing the bathrooms)...

No other plans, hopefully a date or two... and Saturday I'm meeting up with a college friend of mine (actually an ex girlfriend, the first and certainly not the last Irish girl I dated

), at Barcade.

Saturday: Crushing grapes with friends in the morning for wine. Birthday party in the evening for a friend. Beer tasting party!
Sunday: Taking the wife to the airport (headed to Boston for work) and then watching football with friends at my house.

Saturday: Two hours at the dojo on Saturday, I'm hoping they let us spar again. I'd not done it in years, and it was really fun.
Sunday: First full day with the full family in three weeks. I predict homemade pancakes for breakfast!

Well, it just became my birthday.

So this weekend, I'm buying all sorts of great food and shit, preparing artisan pizzas from scratch, drinking a bunch, hanging with the 'boys', maybe fit in a game or two, and generally having a cool ass time.

This is what happens when you play in a competitive tournament where the pitch is twice the size of a usual futsal court. First thoughts : "omg look at all the lovely space!" Second thought : "f*ck me, that's a lot of ground to cover"

That sounds like a blast, though. Losing can still be fun!

Next week is NY Comic Con, checked the schedule out and there seems to be a few cool panels. I am not interested in comics at all, so I'm mostly gonna go to animu/gaming related ones. Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, Mark Hamill and Yoshinori Ono will be there lol.

Storm last night, my house's windchimes woke me up at 02:45 so I had to go outside to suspend the bell-clapper. Couldn't get back to sleep.

Woke up at the crack of sparrowshit, 06:45, on a Saturday, for my kids' track-and-field day at school. After getting them dressed and ready, we received the call that the storm had drenched the field, so of course the day is canceled. Kids still had to go in for a lecture (

) and take their lunches with them.

I went back to sleep and passed the hell out until 10:30. Now I'm groggy, and not sure what to do with my day.

I went to NY Comic Con this weekend... absolutely ridiculous amounts of people there, I was mostly for anime/gaming stuff as I don't follow comics at all... but it was just absurd the # of people. I got to play a few games, including XIII-2, Skyward Sword, Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 7, and Deus Ex though. And was talking to some cute tall, meaty blonde while on line to play XIII-2 (got her FB but she's from out of town).
