Nook>KindleYou're talking about the Borders on Washtenaw right, ie the one where I saw you get in the back seat of your mom's car. My parents went there every day during the various going-out-of-business sales, but I didn't go until the final day. All they had was romance and detective books
Why, what's better about it?
spoiler (click to show/hide)Plus the Nook makes piracy easy.[close]
you can do that with the kindle as well.
Er, you do that with Kindle as well. Calibre address the ability to convert .epub to .mobi (and vice versa) and strip DRM from both. The ability to treat the ereader as a USB drive isn't unique to either brand
it can't read epub, but you can load mobi files. The easiest way to convert formats is with Calibre, which is basically itunes for your e-reader.http://calibre-ebook.com/import into your library (which is just your collection of ebooks) then convert them to whatever format you want.if you bought the books, you'll probably have to strip the drm. This blog entry tells you how to do so easilyhttp://apprenticealf.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/ebooks-formats-drm-and-you-%E2%80%94-a-guide-for-the-perplexed/The only issue is that if you update calibre, it doesn't bring your plug ins along, so you'll have to reinstall the plug ins above and re-enter your info to remove the drm.
