Probably in the other thread but don't give a fuck. Ys 4 remake on vita by falcom for the win win win.

Sure 7 wasn't as good as oath or origins, but it was still super rad and remember ys6? It takes falcom a game to get their new systems perfected.

yeah, seeing as how they talked up their Vita project as a launch window title, I was expecting Origin or maybe even good port of 6.

a new title is nice, even if it may not be launch anymore

edit: confirmed not to be launch (2012 release; Vita is most likely november 2011 in Japan). touch screen puzzles :'(

I was thinking more along the lines of handing Suikoden 6 over to a western dev to make it into a cover-based fantasy shooter, or maybe a freemium MMO (buy all 108 stars of destiny!)

konami cancelled a whole slew of wii games years back. suikoden VI was one of them. they were working on it alongside tierkreis. at least that's what rygar told me from his konami source and what a konami rep told me on gaf.

Can't see much but:

-60fps
-Fast action
-Character & enemy models seem larger
-Looks awesome

-Stupid touch controls (hopefully all optional)

I've never played a Ys game even though I love aRPGs. Are there any old ones that I can emulate on an average PC?

Most modern Ys games (and Falcom in general) are for PC. Ys Seven (and this Vita game) are PSP/Vita first, but Oath of Felghana on PSP is a port of the PC version. Ys 6 was PC first, then PS2 and PSP. And Ys Seven is supposed to be releasing soon-ish on PC in China.

Ys Oath of Felghana and Ys 6 have English patches, while Ys Origin only has some menu translations at this point. Oath is the best one.

I played two of them on my pc, had to download a translation patch.
