No way.  What made DS stick out was the scope and the ONLINE which was a huge new step in implementation for From Software.

I'm sure its art direction/atmosphere also had a lot to do with its success. Demon's Souls absolutely nailed the dark-fantasy theme, and Dark Souls looks even better. There aren't many games that look like it. (well that's part of the reason why I love it anyway)

It's my favorite online in a game ever

Mainly because I hate MP but I like the idea of online interactions.

They always said BE YOURSELF

but in reality not liking multiplayer gaming means everyone makes fun of you :(

I'm just not competitive, but I like human interaction and socialization.

Demon's Souls is one of those games where I can objectively see how high quality it is, but can't get absorbed enough that I want to play more. I can't explain it.

if you're not into the competitiveness of online games, just play team based games like Battlefield and choose a support role.  Battlefield 3, releasing October 25th 2011.  Using the Frostbite 2 Engine and developed by DICE.  Published by Electronic Arts: it's in the game.  Pre-order today and get the exclusive Back to Karkand map pack.  Only on Origin.  BRR-BRR-BR-BRR-BR-BRRR.

Yup, this is how I feel about the game too... I don't know if I don't have the patience for the game or what... but I'm sure if I sit down and play for an extended amount of time I'd end up really liking it.

Surprised most people's list are so sparse.  I thought this was a forum filled with ballers.  I guess we're all growing up :*(

Limited time to actually play games. I'll be lucky to beat half of what I buy this year.

Trolling low level players with an optimized low level character that would rip them apart in seconds.

Real PVP is on 4-1 at level 120ish

Modern Demon Souls fans are fakers. I was enjoying the formula (albeit without the 3rd person action based combat) on King's Field. Fucking OG status. I hope From revisits King's Field.

That aside the only two games I've really focused on are Dark Souls and Skyrim. Skyrim has me salivating.
