I loved Gears 1, but yesterday i tried to play Gears 2, never played it but it's just so boring. I got up to that first vehicle section and shut it off. I kinda want Gears 3 though.

I played for about 2 hours or so and it's a blast! Horde mode is a whole lot better with construction building and what-not. Beast mode isn't working though. Versus mode is eh...rolling shotguns and that's about it. Screw versus.

The story is mway more fleshed in this one. Near ebd of act 1. While ir lacks the freshness if gears one ir has so dar given me more variety then last two gear games.

So... this game is pretty slow early on. Which is ironic since they gave the characters a boost of speed in walking speed, etc.

I can't believe I am spending a whole level exploring Cole's hometown. I hope this becomes relevant... soon

I like Halo but I never thought the campaign could touch gears. Halo campaigns are kinda boring honestly. Although I prefer the MP in Halo by a wide margin.

As someone who wasn't particularly blown away by the campaigns in the first two, will I find this at least mildly fun? Any new guns? Any new gameplay mechanics period? Is the end just another giant cock tease like GoW 2? How many shitty vehicle segments will I have to suffer?

There are new guns... nothing revolutionary.

And Act 1 has been a snore. No vehicle sections so far.

I would rent it, don't buy it, if you don't care for Gears online.
