OCD completionist-ism for some games
my goal for Dark Souls to just play the game without any prior knowledge, worrying about missing an item, or caring about anything. Just gonna play straight though and let things happen as they will.
Oh, yeah. This. I've
given up on collect-a-thons, even when there are fat Achievements for them. Red Faction: Guerrilla, I just finished every single-player Achievement, except for the one case of "find every" - the other collect 'cheevs were just a small subset of the total actually available, but those Big Black Crystals are limited. I got to 264 of 300 without much effort, but I know if I went for the last ones, I'd get to 299/300 and start tearing out my hair.
