What's your "go-to" beer (non-beer drinkers need not apply)?

I was discussing with my sister the other day that it was a shame that they don't sell Yuengling beer in Kentucky, as it is so delicious.  She then pointed out to me that I now live in equal distance from one town that sells beer as to another that sells beer over the state line (thus having Yuengling).  For those of you that don't know, Jaybo and I live in a mostly "dry" area (see: regions that cling to the prohibition era like stink to shit) and going out to our local gas station and picking up a case of brew is not an option for us.

This brings to question though, what is the go-to beer for my fellow Borebros?

The Hitachino White Ale sounds good!  The Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout isn't one that I've had, and I don't know that I've seen it on any shelves around these parts...

Wild ales/sour beers are awesome. Jolly Pumpkin is fantastic, but they don't currently distribute to Washington. I managed to snag a  bottle La Roja while in Nebraska the other week.

I visited the Cantillon brewery while in Brussels earlier this year. Absolutely brilliant.

A lot of local breweries in Seattle are getting into the wild ale game. Epic Ales is consistently making incredibly unqiue experimental sours. As for the rest of the country, Cascade (Oregon) and Russian River (California) make good ones as does New Belgium (Colorado) with their Lips of Faith series.

Does not compute. I don't think I've ever been in a grocery store in Washington that didn't have craft options.

Heineken. If I'm feeling like something different, 1664 and Carta Blanca. Fuck, I'll drink Bud Light or any other shit beer too. I'm nowhere near as picky about beer as I was when I was younger...then again, I don't really drink much beer anymore.

I have a good friend who homebrews and does the $50 on a six pack thing, so I'm kinda covered either way.

The former brewmaster of Olympia (when it was actually still in Olympia, WA) is a very close family friend. He's currently the head brewmaster for Deschutes. True story.

As for crap beer, my buddies and I always start off Man Nights with a can of Hamm's.

What I actually drink is Yebisu or Premium Malt's; both are quite good, but not really flavorful enough for someone who likes IPAs better than just about anything.

Preeetty much.  I use to order a bunch of them but I think I've only had maybe three really excellent ones.  Dogfish Head is about the only one I can stomach for than two or three bottles.

If I'm getting drunk on a weekend:  Pabst.

If I want to feel classy, I'll head over to the liquor store and buy some of Nashville's local brews from a place called Yazoo.  Place makes a really good amber ale and stout.  Their IPA is atrocious.

I'm not sure. If we're talking just standard, popular brands and there's nothing else, then I go with blue moon. If we're talking "if I had my pick" then I'm not sure. I've had Shark Attack once and rather liked it. I can never remember most of the stuff I try at bars.

It's strength isn't the problem, it's the way it carries it; the alcohol flavor is pungent. Other than that, it's a lovely beer.

You think so? I didn't really taste the alcohol at all, I bought two bottles on a recommendation and was really surprised when I checked the strength afterwards.

The alcohol in the W-IPA I mentioned elsewhere is much more subdued, at 9% than Duvel's 8%. Or maybe it's just that there's so much other flavor in the W-IPA that the alcohol isn't as noticeable.

I like Duvel. Hell, I have a uniqlo DUVEL shirt!
