I've got like 4 more left in the season, but so far #1 laugh has been Tobias' "Bullshit!" reaction to a "raccoon" being in the backyard.

Just finished the season, I thought it was really fantastic, especially the Tobias and Gob episodes Maybe was also pretty great this season, hope they do more.

Finished the season yesterday.  Overall I loved it.  The first 4-5 episodes seemed odd.  I don't know if it was because of the format change or my adjustment to expectations or what.  But after it got rolling I really loved it.  I want to rewatch it already.

Do not watch unless you've seen the last GoT episode "Rains of Castamere"

Seriously.

So, when does season 5 start?
I just finished this season earlier today and I feel the same way. It started slow but really came together in the 2nd half. Lucille's episode was my absolute favorite, followed by Buster's. My one disappointment with this season is that Buster didn't get enough screen time. His character on Veep isn't nearly as funny.

Lucille, GOB, and Tobias are god-tier characters. Michael is just B-tier at best, always has been. Just wanted to get that outta the way.

Anyway, season 4 did a really good job of bringing back most of the recurring characters, but there were a few who didn't make it back [that I can remember off-hand]:

-Martin Short [Uncle Jack]
-Bob Einstein [Larry the Surrogate]
-That one armed guy
-Franklin

Also, young Lucille and Oscar segments were awful, didn't crack a smile even once.

Yeah, the first three episodes were definitely the weakest of the new season, but it's all good from episode 4 on to the end.

The Gob episode was the first legit funny episode. I slogged through the first few; they had some hilarious moments but overall feel too long and forced.

I watched the episode after God (iirc Lindsy) and it was alright.

I thought it picked up around the first Tobias episode.

Also one big glaring problem about the season:

Isla Fisher and Michael Cera?  Negro please :comeon  I bet kissing her the highlight of his now near dead career.  Probably beats making out with plain hipster chicks.

I brought in a new Arrested Development convert and they plowed through the first 3 seasons and loved it. Not so much the 4th season. They didn't like it as much.

Which is understandable. I've tried rewatching the 4th season and while I enjoy it, its not as repeatably funny as the older stuff. There is lots of layered stuff to find but its just not as funny on the whole. You can watch old AD and forgot about the plot and just enjoy an episode as a funny episode. Its much harder to do that in Season 4.

Maeby's episode :rofl

This has to be one of the best rebounds I've seen in a show. It started so...off, but the second half has been awesome.
