I don't think I'll ever see the appeal of the Layton games

literally, because I bought and played the first one based on feedback and it was bad.  only future layton game I might try is a team up game, like the Phoenix Wright one, except that's another series I don't care much for.

Don't worry magus, I got your back... HMH1 was amazing, one of the few clever and original games to come out this generation. Dark Souls should be good too, I haven't liked an iD game since DOOM 2 so no idea how good RAGE will be.

the puzzle are fun to solve (as long as they aren't those fucking stupid sliding puzzle,god i hate them ) and the art and music is sooooo good,the plot of the first wasn't that bad either then the plot got stupider and stupider as numbered release increased

the art and music were independent from the puzzles.  might as well watch cartoons, pause, do a crossword puzzle, pass out from boredom, and you'll get the Layton experience.  it's something an old man waiting to die would play.
