Veronica Mars is actually pretty good

I just finished watching the first disc of season 1 and I'm actually digging the show. So far, episode 4 was my favorite because:

1. Kristen Bell wore a sexy dress and acted like a dumb blonde
2. Kristen Bell wore this sexy school girl outfit and wig so some jappafags would like her
3. Kristen Bell made out with another girl in the back of a limo
4. Kristen Bell went skinny dipping

I recommend this show, but if

The first season is absolutely great.  I was totally hooked on it.

The second season has a disappointing first couple of episodes, the main mystery isn't as gripping and the conclusion is kinda lame, but the excellent cast still makes the show work, and on the whole the season is definitely worthwhile.

I'm about to start the third season tonight.  I've heard it's better than season 2, but not as good as 1.  Which is okay, because season 1 is brilliant and it would kinda be scary if they topped it.  Season 1 will always be the best just because the main mystery for that season was so personally tied to all the major characters.

Lilly is hot even though she is dead. And she is on Big Love which is a plus. But, Veronica....

OH, a highschool biker gang would normally be really gay, but the fact that there's a highschool biker gang, and the gang members are the POOR people in the area, yet can all still afford to have their own bikes, is awesome hilarity

Having bought Season 1 cause it was $20... I really liked it, so I bought Season 2 for full price.

Yeah... what the hell. Season 3 is alright so far I guess.

I really can't put my finger on it, but something has just been missing from the show since the first year. The obvious guess is that the first year was a very personal mystery, and that we saw V kick ass an take names as the outsider (and the short hair  ), and now we don't get either anymore. It's the obvious guess and it's fairly true. Im also thinking it's because of Rob Thomas getting a little too clever for his own good, and most importantly, losing several of the better writers after the first year. It's still a good show, but it just feels like a totally neutered version of the show I fell in love with 2 years ago.

I havent ever really liked the show a whole lot. I dont get why the entire first season she sits back remembering being a dumb spoiled teenager FONDLY even tho the trials of life have made her a better person.

I hate lilly, she's dead already but somehow she manages to infect the show. Wow Veronica is fondly remembering her dumb airhead friend. Yes.

Kristen Bell is hot, yes, but with all the flashbacks I cant help but think the show is pandering to the airheaded teen demographic.

the killer does a whole speech about how his mom used to get beat and then kicks the shit out of his daughters boyfriend like he has this big moral stance against violence towards women which you can tell is genuine but then he has no problem killing Lilly or beating the shit out of Veronica. It was a cheap way to throw us off his trail.

Really?  You thought that?  The first couple of eps of season 2 convinced me I would hate it.  Luckily it picked up the slack and made itself good again.  The finale is meh-ville, though.

I don't know. I like that a school bus full of kids just flew off a fucking cliff. That's pretty funny. And that one girl who was nice but now is/was a cunt was on it, although she was looking a lot hotter than she did in the first season.

The season resumes next week, and I still honestly dont know if I will continue watching. It feels like Ive been doing it out of habit/faith that the ship will right itself more than anything.

Just wrapped up the second season. The main mystery didn't feel as urgent or as personal as the first, but I still really enjoyed it. The last two episodes were good and there were some interesting revelations and rekindled relationships.

I still have some issues with stuff from the first season that feels cheap after watching the second season. It's like, Veronica could have solved things quicker if she did a couple obvious things in the first place.
