Is there anywhere I can get Photoshop for cheap?

I recently had to get a new computer since my old one died on me. I really want to get Photoshop for it since it was one of my most used programs on my old computer, but good lord, everywhere I have looked new copies of Photoshop are more expensive than my entire new computer. Is there anywhere you can get it on the cheap? I would even be fine with an older version since up until now I've been getting along fine with plain ol' Photoshop 5.0.

UI sucks but it should be able to do everything PS5.0 does.

I may be a complete goofball, but aren't there OEM versions of Photoshop available?

I've got a copy of PS 5.5 I need to upgrade to current, and from PC to Mac. Making the call tomorrow morning, as apparently Adobe is very accommodating when you give them money.

because the amount of sales from individuals are paltry and unnoticeable for Adobe compared to their actual source of sustenance.  They're more than happy for the fact that they're able to keep a dominant presence in both markets.  They are the go to name for these products
