Tried Lovecraft's Untold Stories and it's a pretty cool 2d pixel Resident Evil-like game.
But I got pretty far and there was no way to save and I looked it up and the developer is like "this is a rogue-like so there is no saving" and the levels take 2-4 hours.

Yeah, talk about a developer that doesn't understand how people could have lives. Oh well.

Also I'm officially tired of Lovecraft games at this point.

New Humble Choice Bundle is out.
If you have Control it's pretty boring. A lot of not amazingly reviewed tiny indie games + X-com Chimera Squad + Hotshots Racing + Elex + Control.

I did want Hotshots Racing and wouldn't mind Elex and Chimera Squad so I picked it up but otherwise it's a boring month.

Well I dont have Control so im not interested in any of the other games, if you have it I would appreciate a giveaway from the best rated member on the gaming board of 2020™

Then i can pause for another month and saves me some money and i can wait till the better games come back

Sorry man, I took the Steam version of control in case for some reason in the future I don't have Epic Launcher installed anymore because Epic sucks and my game library on Steam feels more permanent.

Huh, I thought this was the best one there's been for awhile now.
Even outside the 'headliners', cyberhook, wildfire and hotshot racing had previously been on my radar and all look worth a play, and although I've never heard of tha peaky blinders game, it looks like a desperados knock off which might be fun. Also a dumb WWE game :idont

Hmmm, I'll have to try out Cyberhook and Wildfire. Both looked ok, but didn't stand out when looking at the trailers and reviews.

Is Control the Ultimate Edition?

Nah, which sucks, but it is what it is.

Actually I booted up steam and Control is showing up as the Ultimate Edition? :o

Pretty good get for Humble in that case. I wonder if I can transfer my save from the epic store version. Gonna check.

Nevermind?

It shows up as Control Ultimate Edition but doesn't include either DLC.

I tried copying over my saves from epic and it says "your save has DLC, can't load until you buy DLC"

Oh well

There's a note on the page that some of the keys will activate as Ultimate Edition but it won't be.

Mine activated as just the base game for whatever that's worth.

If it wasn't for Rock of Ages, which I didn't even realize exists, and Remothered because I'm always up for RE knockoffs I might've passed. I love Shenmue I & II, but I never want to play III, even for free. Jank looks too strong for me.

You can pick an EGS or Steam code.

Control was like this too last month. Probably see one a month EGS/Steam at this rate.

If you like Advance Wars, Wargroove is effectively half off in this bundle and you get six other games. I plan on playing some of this Door Kickers spin-off for the upcoming Digital Buffet II to be a bit timely. (Haven't played the rest, though I guess I could also play the other two games I already have from this.)

And if you want some LEGO games they're also running a bundle with a bunch of the Marvel/DC stuff for $10, with the Ninjago game for $1: https://www.humblebundle.com/games/lego-built-to-bundle

I missed Metro Exodus before it left Game Pass and Levelhead is a really well reviewed 2d platformer, also Family Man is that one Harvest Moon meets Mafia game about running a farm and hiding mafia bodies in it while running from the mob.

The rest seem mixed. I tried Darksiders Genesis on Game Pass and thought it was kinda boring but I guess if I ever want to finish the series I'll have it on steam. Hellpoint is another Souls-like but impressions were it was just an average one. I think Mortal Shell is the only souls ripoff that's actually been somewhat well reviewed.

If this was cheaper it'd be pretty decent. Or if it had Little Nightmares 2.

I thought Code Vein was terrible from trying it on Game Pass, so $20 lollll

If you don't care about Civ, the big games are weak this month assuming you've played Stubbs back in the day.

But Bork's been slinging Panzer Paladin ($19.99) for a while and I really liked the Ikenfell ($19.99) demo and have been holding off waiting for it to be in a bundle, so this works for me. Will browse through the rest of the indie games to see if there are other hits in there.

Also goes to show that any game published by Humble Games will be in a bundle of theirs within a year, so just wait if you don't need to day 1.

New Humble Bundle is Yakuza 3 (Game Pass), Surge 2 (Game Pass), Dirt 5 (Game Pass) as the big three and Paradise Killer as the big Indie.

If I hadn't bought Paradise Killer last Steam sale I would've bit, but I did and I've beat Y3, don't like Surge and have Dirt 5 on PS5 & Game Pass so this is the first month I'm gonna skip for Humble.

I'm guessing the next few months will be Y4, Y5, Y6. I haven't finished any of those and I might not get to them for a while so I'll probably bite on those.

After at least mildly liking every month since humble sub started, this is the second month in a row that might be a miss for me personally:

Does anyone who wants Bloodstained still not own it at this point??

Will have to look up the rest and see if there's any indie gems in there I don't have. Also I forgot to pause last month so ended up buying it all anyways. Have an extra Paradise Killer key if anyone wants.

Ok, this month's alright. As someone who only cares about single player and not survival crafting (so many humble bundle games each month are multiplayer or survival & crafting), Superliminal is cool and I've had it on my wish list, Blue Fire is an awesome looking 3d indie action platformer I was interested in, Encodya is a neat robo point n' click, and while I couldn't really get into Carto or Nowhere Prophet on Game Pass in the short bursts I tried them, they both have good reviews so maybe I'll give them another chance.

Also Last Oasis not being a Beyond Oasis sequel is depressing  :'(

Humble is ok this month. I already have the best game The Texorcist and Amnesia Rebirth was weak and disappointing.

I guess since Katana Zero is leaving Game Pass this week and I haven't gotten around to playing it yet that's the only good thing in this for me. John Wick Hex has pretty bad reviews and Syberia 3 does too :(  Otherwise a bunch of rogues and coop indie games.

Also I think this is the first humble month where there isn't a single game off my wishlist which is like 200+ games long...

Welp, there's a new bundle and I went in after clearing my browser's cache and apparently I don't have access to the 2FA in Google Authenticator anymore so I can't access my account, but I still get charged $12/month on a classic account.

Spent the last 2 hours trying to figure this out and it looks like there's no hope besides their customer support which I sent a message to. I guess if they can't help me I have to basically tell my credit card company or something to decline charges from them and start a new account though I'd lose the classic plan access that way. Bleh. This is annoying.

That sucks, they should probably be able to help you, they seem to have good customer service. I had a key that wasn't showing up and they sent me another one and told me not to worry if the original key showed up and to just "spread the love". They gave me a good hunk of store credit when I renewed my Monthly the day before they put up a sale on renewals and I e-mailed just to ask if anything was possible.

I wouldn't recommend declining the charges though unless you absolutely have to, that gets you put on shit lists.

This month was a bit odd as they only had ten games. Though still had at least one and a half I kinda want to at least futz around with. (House Flipper mainly to be honest.)

Yeah, Humble support got me covered and I got back into my account thankfully.

Interesting month. Weird that it's 10 games instead of 12. And no big AAA or AA headlines. But unlike the last few months where there were a few poorly reviewed games included, every game this month has good reviews which I feel like is how humble bundle's main bundle used to be. Felt like it used to be a curated quality indie games you've barely heard about but are good.

Looking through the reviews on these games,

Wingspan seems like a good board/card game
Timelie seems like a cool stealth adventure game
BPM seems like a solid music rogue fps
Wrath seems like another solid retro shooter that's still in early access
Turnip boy has a great name
Mobius Front '83 is a zachtronichs game and they're always good to have
You've got house flipper & simple rockets 2 for the sim players (not for me)
Due Process for the MP players (not for me)
And project wingman is supposed to be good (but it's also on game pass)

All in all a solid indie choice month. Probably wouldn't pay more than about $15 for this group, so for $12 I'm satisfied. First month in a long time where I don't own a single game in the group.

So, it looks like some of the indie stuff is good (Lacuna - ADV, 8 Doors - Metroidvania, Voidigo - Rogue overwhelmingly positive, Tohu - ADV puzzle and Endzone is a fallout city builder.

I'm just not into MP at all anymore & war games are zzz to me so Mordhau/Beyond the Wire/Partisans are not my thing. But they're good for people who want them and don't have Maneater from elsewhere already.

Oh and it's good that it's back to 12. Was weird it dropped to 10 last month. Those 2 extra indie games in this help seal the deal.

I'm still kinda surprised/disappointed that we don't get at least one Humble Games published game per month in these bundles. They throw all their stuff on Game Pass, but we only actually get to own one every few months. They publish multiple games every month so they could definitely offload their titles as they get older.

They publish quite a bit of good indie content. Stuff like Ikenfell/Carto have been good Bundle gets.

Think I'll pick up Choice this month as I want Mafia DE. I was on the cusp of buying it 2-3 hours ago for ~£14, but thought "I can't play right now, I think there'll be a better deal when I'm ready in a month or so". Can't argue with £8 8)

Not huge on this month, but I did have Mafia DE in my wishlist and Henry Stickman and that's $30 worth of stuff for $12 so I'll take it.
I want to play Mafia 1-3 at some point and if I ever do play Mafia 1 I'll play this version so might as well grab it. Iron Harvest always looked neat but the reviews were kinda so-so.

I wish they stuck with 12 games though. These couple of months they went 10 games feels anemic.

And yeah I always wait to buy shit during steam sales until after Humble comes out if it's gonna cross just in case anything ends up in the bundle.

I kinda liked the This Is The Police games as an indie Xcom / CYOA mashup, so Rebel Cops is sorta interesting as a pure tactics game spin off, but... I think I'm pausing again.

I'm wondering if the semi-regular drop to 10 games per month is because pretty much their entire subscriber base are grandfathered in 'classic choice' 12-per-monthers

I think whenever they get an AAA/AA big game that is recent and going for $30+ still they'll do 10 games because it probably costs them more. Don't remember what was included the other month there was 10.

Was the discount on top of existing discounts during sales? I've never bought anything from their store.

Yes, I've bought quite a few games through Humble just because of the extra discount on top of a sale. Though it doesn't apply to every game because certain companies like Take Two and Activision specifically refuse to let you buy some games (like Call of Duty's) with any discount.
