Probably will watch some MST3K sometime this weekend. Likely candidates for Halloween are The Deadly Bees and Squirm.

Just found out about Halloween plans for tomorrow and I have to dress up. I'll be hanging out with some friends that don't know about the preggers, so I'm thinking I might dress up as a pregnant person to tell them. Someone mentioned Juno. Another option is a pregnant Black Swan. Both would be easy on short notice.

Suggestions are, of course, appreciated. :)

I used to like this, but Halloween's been kinda lame for me for the past 8 or 9 years. Prolly cause most of my family hates me, I reckon.

1st Halloween at our house - 1 group of trick or treaters who were too old to be trick or treating

Last Halloween - ran out of candy in 45 minutes (had to give out my Dunkaroos as backup :( )

This year - haven't seen a kid since 6:45, and they started at 6:30.

Wtf?! Now we have all this candy left over and the thought of chocolate has been making me nauseous. At all the Laffy Taffy though :drool

My friend went as Fat Batman. He had a small batman t-shirt that only came down to his belly, black pants and a utility belt, and a batman cowl that barely fit over his face. Total demi wank material.

seriously what the fuck happened to halloween, when i was a kid we would be out there until 11-midnight, and there'd be hundreds of other people out, and all the old people had to worry about getting fucked with if they didn't participate

I hate Halloween. I got to go trick r treating once, just so my mom could take pics of me dressed up (Micky Mouse). Outside of that we weren't allowed to go out. Instead we had to hand out candy and Christian tracts

After about two years of doing that I'd just stay in the basement watching tv or playing videogames on Halloween. Now I have too many bad memories to have any fun on this day. If I have kids I'll take them.

Worked at Gamestop tonight.  Got to see 4 different versions of Batman!  All of them were pretty cool.

Also, when did "slutty" become the popular look for 10 year old girls?

(Another reason I'm glad my child was a boy)

Ended up with six trick-or-treaters. All were little kids who looked like they were having a blast out with their parents. Can't wait to take my little girl around in a couple years.

I only had 3 trick-or-treaters this year. It's sad because I remember the late 90s bringing in a lot of kids. After September 11th, that number dwindled. In all honesty, the last thing I want to do is go to people's houses for candy in the 'hood so I understand.

When I was pre-teen, my church started doing this bullshit where you go to church and read scripture and crap and do "fun and games" in an effort to quell the innocent children from the harmful satanic holiday we know as Halloween. Those were prime candy loot years. Gone forever. Thankfully, when I became a teenager, my buddy and I went from door to door with his kid brother, so I got to experience trick or treating again. Of course, being the rebellious teenagers we were, we didn't dress up for shit.

Child predators!

Saw a good amount of the young people on the way to my class at 6:30ish. Guess Halloween curfew is 7:30-8pm increasing by age and apparently strictly enforced. Saw nobody in the apartment complex, we had them a few years ago back when we also had the peeping tom volleyball/soccer coach whatever he was.

That said, every group I saw where the kids were not at least "tweens" were basically six moms/older girls/sisters to three kids under ten.

Waiting at a light there was this young boy dressed as spider-man and he totally hated having the mask down and his mom/whatever kept pushing it down over his face, it was basically a colored ski-mask thing so I assume she was trying to keep his face warm, but he was definitely not pleased about any of it.

When I was pre-teen, my church started doing this bullshit where you go to church and read scripture and crap and do "fun and games" in an effort to quell the innocent children from the harmful satanic holiday we know as Halloween.
Oh god, I had friends/etc. who had to do this. Half of them became drug addicts, the other half were perfect Christians until college when they got pregnant and became drug addicts. Of course, it's only a sample size of six.

To be fair, like three of the kids went through divorces and the parents decided the church would solve their strange and unexpected acting out despite the fact that bitch/asshole was gone.
Also, when did "slutty" become the popular look for 10 year old girls?
This was every single "tween" I saw tonight. Males dressed in like trenchcoats and crap, really not even "real" costumes, all the girls in short skirts (or something similar) and freezing. (Was like 40 F or something out at 6, got colder later.) One of my criteria has always been asking the slutty devil/cat/nurse/cowgirl if she brought a coat.

It shows foresight!

Our old church had a similar Halloween thing, but kids could dress up as people from the bible. One teen dressed up as Raiden from Mortal Kombat and told the pastor he was King David

I never dressed up for it, fuck that shit

Oh my god I am glad I am not the only one who noticed this. I saw a girl no older than 8 or 9 who looked almost like she was dressed as a hooker when  I was out trick or treating with the kids my girlfriend nannys for.

What kind of parent would let their kids out like that? I couldn't believe it.

Also what is up with the teenagers who try to scare kids when they come up to the house? Most trick or treaters are pretty young. There was this one teenager in a mask jumping out from behind a bush at everyone who came up, regardless how old they were. He was making 2-3 year olds bawl their heads off.

Green Man, you should be out on Halloween, not hanging out at your house scaring kids.  Wait until you're too old to go out to do that.

Being scared as a kid is easily the most nostalgic memory I have of trick or treating.

Just got back from my Halloween trip to see friends in Atlanta.  Fat Honky Castro (or "Sarcastro" as my friend Jack dubbed me) was a big hit.  Next year I'll go as Elderly Tracksuit Castro.  Best costumes I saw were William Burroughs and his wife, and a couple of different hot chicks as Zombie Amy Winehouse.
