i type with my index and middle fingers as well. i do strike the A key with my left ring finger actually... though i never use my right ring finger. space bar is thumb obviously.

i have a split keyboard and the entire right side is pretty much entirely struck with my middle finger.

I use every finger. The only quirk I have is pressing toggling caps on and off instead of holding shift.

My main problem is that I usually make about 5 mistakes per sentence and correct them as I go. If I just slowed down and typed correctly the first time I'd probably double that speed - I'm actually a half-decent touch typist otherwise.

Wait, you're able to do 60 wpm with hunt-and-peck? That's actually really impressive in a "write a SNES emulator in javascript that can play games from 1995 with barely any lag on your 2011 PC" sort of way.

I can't imagine how slow I'd be for a handwriting test

it's bad enough without my OCD forcing me to go back to make sure the letters look the way I want. It's why I don't use pens.
