Anime is good when done right, just like any other thing. It's the fans that make you want to hate it, like every other thing in entertainment.

Subtitles are fine. You have to be an uppity ADD ridden ass fuck shell of a man and/or woman to be so narrow minded you won't watch something because it has subtitles. Once you get used to subs you don't even notice they're on there, much like widescreen bars.
