Sony has opened up applications for the closed beta of its PlayStation Suite Developer Program, with content developers now able to apply to receive an SDK for the initiative. The company revealed the PlayStation Suite earlier this year, as a means of bringing first and third-party PlayStation-branded content to Android mobile devices. The PlayStation Suite SDK, due to be fully released sometime this month, is now currently in a closed beta stage. The company said in a statement that the number of spaces available in the closed beta is limited. The SDK comes with a PC simulator, hence the purchase of a PlayStation-certified device is not required."By supporting development for multiple devices and by adopting libraries designed to create a variety of gaming and non-gaming content, PS Suite SDK will not only help developers reduce costs for creating new content, but also allow them to efficiently create their content on one SDK and use it for multiple devices," said the statement.Interested parties can apply to be part of the closed beta at the official website.
