I borrowed CoD3 from a friend, but realized I never finished 2. Fine, I sat down and played through the Russian campaign tonight. Lots of fun, and on normal not that difficult, except for PSYCHIC TANK. It's that Panzer in the courtyard that follows your every move through smoke or behind walls. So you sit there chasing it around this square, and your only good bet is to fucking bumrush it while you hop around all stupid. Then you tag it and run to the nearest building till it blows. Took me like 10 goddamned tries.
I also hate how all the achievements require Veteran difficulty except the insulting GOT PAST BOOT CAMP one oh whoop. I did play some CoD3 just to see the graphics. I love how you get an achievement for getting on a truck.
I do like the british campaign so far. Storming bunkers is more horrific than those Faces of Death videos. Unloading a Thompson on some kraut as he charges at you with his rifle butt in the air, his face a mix of horror and disbelief as each bullet impacts his torso. Ah WWII games, where would simulated nazi killing be without em?
